One of the best (girls) colleges for Commerce in kolkata. Fee structure is definitely feasible, as it is a government aided college. If is affiliated under University of Calcutta. Amazing faculty. The faculty of the college is one of the best things about the college. the professors are extremely helpful and and guide the students properly to choose a proper career path. There are regular sports, drama, and college socials where the students can showcase their talents. College events such as Freshers, Saraswati puja, holi celebration (rangmanch), college socials and many other competitions are held by the college. The college campus is quite spacious with free Wi-Fi, a pretty big Hall, canteen and a play ground behind the college. It is one of the most reputed all girls college in South Kolkata and is specially famous for its Commerce courses.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty of my college is encouraging and are very positive towards their job. They help the students with everything. And guide them towards a better career. We usually have 5 to 6 lectures in a day. The professors are both male and female and they provided clarity in every subject for the students. Our college follows the new CBCS (2017) method of marking as per the guidelines of the university and higher education authority (UGC).
Placement Experience
Placements, job opportunities and internship opportunities are provided by the college to the final year students to give a head start to their careers. Companies such as TCS and PWC visit the college for recruiting freshers from our college.
College Events
Our college conducts many social activities like college freshers, socials, inauguration functions, dance singing, drama shows, debates, including cultural festivals like Saraswati puja, Holi (Rangamanch) etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Vivekananda scholarship and Kanyashree scholarships are provided by the Government of West Bengal. And college takes prime responsibility to provide the students with all the opportunities they need to grow their careers.
Campus Life
The college campus is quite big and spacious with a garden, a playground behind the campus, canteen, clean and hygienic toilets on every floor, computer labs, practical labs, library and many other facilities.
Hostel Facilities
I live quite close to my college so I haven't opted for hostel facility. But there are many hostels, especially all girls hostels around and nearby our college. So students from out- of -station hometowns don't find it difficult to search for hostels.
