NITC Review.

One of the major reason is the MHRD ranking of the college, NITC comes in top 5 NITS in india, and the ranking is also seen improving in last two years, to the 23rd position in all engineeeing colleges in IndiaNITC also have a good placement records and many top firms like Google , Amazon Goldman Sachs etc visits the college.Having said that, the major chunk of the comapnies visiting is from software domain( I guess this is the case for most if the colleges)Personally, I chose NITC because I got the desired branch there and also it was close to my home location.

I chose the course due to my intrest in Physics and MathsThe faculties are well qualified and most of them have PHD from top institutes.As far as teaching is concerned there are faculities who are really good and some, not so well.We have a midterm and a Endsem examination in each sem, and also many other quiz or class tests are also conducted as part of internal marking

For UG students, internship opportunities are available in third year and placement drive starts in fourth year.A lot of big firms visit campus and make fair no of offers ranging from 1 -20 on an avaerage.As per last years record , highest ctc was 50 lpa ans average was around 10 lpa .Most of the companies hire students for the software roles.

The tution fee comes arond 62.5k per semester, excluling the hostel fee.The hostel fee depends on a the hostel you are in, the mess etc, it comes roughly around 20,000 for a sem.There is scholarship on tution fee based on the annual income. For students from general and OBC category, there is a 50 percent scholarship on tution fee on students with family income between 1-5 lakhs pa, and 100 percent scholarship for students with annual income less than 1 lakh per annum.SC,ST students are exempted from paying the tution fee.However, everyone will have to pay a misc fee of 4k per year.

Life at campus is always happening.There are 2 fests in one academic year, Tathva- technical fest and Ragam -our cultural fest, both of which are 3 day long event.There are various technical and non technical clubs, which students could be part of.Library too good number of books and journal.There is also cricketground, volleyball ground, foootball ground, basketball court, swimming pool etc and teams for each of these items.
