Hrithik's BCA at Techno

Our university is not that old but still the time it has been working from, has made it a famous name in West Bengal. The university is approved by AICTE group and works with affiliation from WBUT. Our university has courses for all different fields while admission to the BCA programme is based upon the Merit list prepared by the university.

Being a Science student during my XI, XII I had a lot of options to choose from after my XII and as I was having more interest in technical education, I finally opted for the BCA programme in Techno University. Students were given all required facilities by the university so that they experience the best of education here. Along with the academic learnings, we also got chances to grow our Public speaking & Practical work skills.

It depends upon the Level, Stream of course and also on candidate's individual profile that what kind of internship chances can they get. I knew that BCA gets good offers in the round which is why I participated in the Internships but wasn't able to get a good offer of work experience.

Techno university has collaborations with companies from all top domains which is why the recruiters count is pretty big and annually 70 to 80% of participants in the placement drive get recruited. Students become eligible for the drive in the final year while some don't participate in the round for their Higher Education or other important plans. The average salary of our batch was nearly INR 4 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, Accenture, Cognizant, ITC visited the university for Placements.

The fee for a particular semester was nearly INR 30 K while the total fee for the BCA programme under our university was INR 1.84 Lacs. It was a good institute for me to do my BCA as I got the best of content at the most decent charges. For help of needy students, a number of scholarships are available at Techno.

In recent times, the students haven't been lucky to explore Campus life because of the Covid situation but I feel happy that I've experienced it all during my BCA at Techno. The university gave us all that is needed to learn, interact and enjoy the campus life. Our classes were taken with the use of modern technology and we got to participate in all Arts & Cultural activities also. The Magnifica and Sahotsava fests are the most popular events among students from all different disciplines. The infrastructure of the university is also good.

Hostel facilities were available at a very large scale in our university, because there were a large number of courses and thus we can estimate the number of students. Moreover the facilities were well organised and students can get special services if they want to avail them by paying some extra charges. This facility is mainly good for outstation students because local students like me don't opt for them.

Admission to the BCA programme is based upon the performance of candidates in the CET or TNJEE entrance exam. For Eligibility criteria, students must have done their 10+2 from an recognised educational board with the required subjects. The selection process is based on Merit only.
