B.Sc in Computer Science

I think it is probably due to the popularity DCAC had among my friends from Art's stream as they suggested that I join them to pursue my B.Sc in this college. The college has NAAC Grade B+ at 2.5 Scale. Working under the affiliation of Delhi University the college offers courses across Science, Commerce & Arts and admission to all UG courses is based entirely upon their respective cut-offs and also the prepared Merit list.

The B.Sc(H) course under Computer Science specialisation helps to learn briefly about different computer languages and also tell about the functioning of the field. The faculty team at DCAC was well experienced in the domain and we also got to visit the computer lab for practical demonstration of the Learnings. The B.sc course was of 3 year and a total of 6 semesters were there. Although I joined this college at my friend's references but eventually it turned out to be a really great experience for me.

I used to listen a lot about the round from some of our seniors but I haven't participated in the round.The reason was a personal one but I had to do that. A good friend of mine got to work with a leading recruiter of the Internship round and he really appreciated the exposure provided.

The placement cell of DCAC is popular for its work because it organises various events & Seminars to help students perform better. Recruiters like Zee media, Delhivery, KPMG, Genpact, ITC Limited, ICICI prudential and L&T Ltd visit the college for Placements. Over 70% of the students at DCAC are recruited annually and the average package for the round is INR 3-4 Lacs per annum.

The fee of my 3 year B.Sc (Hons) - Computer Science course was INR 52,455 and was almost the same for all category students. Some eligible students were given scholarships on the basis of their academic performances and that helps them in their academic expenses.

The college is an absolute pleasure to study at but I think the infrastructure needs a boost especially because it is really popular.There are different departments for all streams and students get facilities according to their academic needs.Various sports activities are also organised by DCAC and a high tech computer lab is also there. The most popular committees of the college are Placement cell,Student Council and even the Cultural committee.

Hostel services are not there at DCAC but students who want to have accommodation can search for PG rooms near the college. They can get them at very affordable prices and some PGs even give food facilities. I was a local from the city and that's the reason I didn't have to bother much about my residence facilities.

Admission to the college is based on the cut-off released and the cut-offs at DCAC are usually higher than most of the colleges in its neighbourhood. The seats to all UG courses are allocated according to the Merit and it is important to have 60% marks in 10+2 to apply for admission.
