Since IIT Roorkee is the best college for Civil engineering due to its unique history and well- experienced faculty members, I choose IITR civil. IIT R also has the maximum no. of selection for Google SoC and a famous coding culture. The location of IITR in the vicinity of himalayas and its architecture also attracted me.

IIT R civil has a very well designed course curriculum and its keep in changing for the benefits of students based on the reviews received at the end of each semester. If you talk about faculty to student ratio, for lectures it will be 1 teacher for 150 students but for tutorials its 1 teacher for 20 students. The faculties are over qualified compared to any other Indian Institute's civil dept. There are 2 exams per semester and about 2 quiz per course. On an average we attend 6 courses per sem. The exams are easy to pass but tough to get into top 1 percentile.

Whole lot of opportunities are there for internship. This form is not enough to contain so much data.

Intern occur in 3-1 and placements in 4-1. 80 companies visited and 422 offers were made for summer internship. And more than 250 company will visit for placements and about 1000 offers will be made. 23 lakh median salary across all branches.

The culture in the clubs starting from recruitment to work distribution and parties is quite nice and full of learnings. There are numerous clubs, almost for every type of hobby pursuit. Annual fest - Thomso is conducted in oct. and annual tech fest- Cognizance in april every year. The library is quite rich in terms of books. Every class room has ac and projectors and speaker systems for better learning. There are 4 grounds for cricket, football, hockey and multipurpose uses and then there are courts for basketball, badminton, squash, tennis, swimming pool also.

Fee structure is same as of other IITs in the country. There are several scholarships for ews students or students having low family income. There are 2-3 funds established by alumni which even provide financial assistance in the time of emergency to needy students. The institute acknowledges the merit of students and reward them through different awards.

Every type of infrastructure required for most of sports usually practised in India is available in my campus. There is wifi all across the campus and a high speed lan connection at points also. Library is having 3 floors with more than 5000 sq feet per floor. Every lab is well organised and equipments are updated time to time.

Each room has lan connection and wifi available. Each mess has ac. Menu is decided by the students to accommodate the demands all students coming from all across India. All students have to compulsorily live in hostel.

No, I didn't faced any type of int., gds, anything. It is an iit. There is only one process Jossa Counseling for the admission.Very poorly designed g-form
