Remarks

You can either get admission through JEE mains exam or through WBJEE exam, otherwise there is no specific entrance exam conducted by the college itself. After the JEE MAIN/WBJEE exam your percentile will matter as there is a fine cutoff. For the application process you will need all your educational documents till now along will the rank card of your entrance exam. There is no such application fee, as I said the college does not conduct any entrance exam but the admission fee is somewhat around 73,000. Apllication dates are mostly after the entrance exam gets over.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have taken the course B.Tech in COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING because I am very much interested in how all the websites and app work so I found it to be ideal for me among the others. The faculty of the college is very good, all the professors are very helpfull and approachable. The term exams are very much on time as decided by the board unless stated otherwise. About the difficulty of exams, as a student, some exams are difficult while some are easy.

Internships Opportunities

COGNIZANT, TCS, and WIPRO are some of the companies that offer internships with stipends i guess not to sure about the stipend though. You need to make your own projects to be placed in a company finally.

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements.Some of the companies will be COGNIZANT ,TCS ,AMAZON ,WIPRO and many more. The highest package offered was 6Lpa. The placement percentage is 90%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees in this college are slightly lower than the other in kolkata. It costs me almost around 5L for 4years. There is no such scholarship by the college but they consider any other private or government scholarships. Also if you are from WB Board all kind of gov scholarships are considered here. Student Credit Card facility is also available. My seniors have got paid internship from the college.

Campus Life

My college conducts two fests every year, the cultural fest UNICORN and the tech fest. We have a playground where sports is played. we have several clubs some of them will be our tech club and our robotics club, each of them has there own social media pages for students run by the club members.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
