I had attempted for WBJEE and my rank was 26,832. So, I got allotted in Bachelor of Technology in Computer science and technology in JIS College of Engineering after mop-up round counseling. Then, I went to college for document verification. The application process is simple. The college staff helped a lot. The cut-off for B.tech in Computer science is around 40,000. Application is done through the JIS group website.

B. Tech in Computer science and engineering is a demanding and revolutionary course. There is a lot of scope for research and innovation in this course. A lot of jobs also come under this course. In JIS College of Engineering, the faculty: student ratio is 1:60 per subject. The faculty members help us a lot. They clear every doubt of us. The faculty members are well educated. Almost every teacher is B.tech, M.tech, and Ph.D. degree holder. Term exams are taken every 3rd month. And, the papers are quite standard to pass.

Internship opportunities were provided mostly using Internshala from the first year. During placements, many companies provided internship opportunities with a minimum stipend of 15000. I haven't achieved any internship opportunity as I am a 1st-year student.

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc visited our college last year. They offer quite a lot of offers to the students. Last year's placement percentage was 90% in my course. The highest package offered was around 5 lakh per annum and the lowest package offered was around 3 lakh per annum. I am planning for higher studies like pursuing M.tech after getting the degree.

The tuition fees for the whole four years of B.tech is CSE is 3,99,900. Tuition fee is quite low as compared to other private colleges. From college, you can apply SVMCS scholarship for your financial assistance. In my college, every year campus placement drive happens. Around 90% of students from Computer science and technology get placed in various reputed companies like Cognizant, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, TCS, etc. I am a 1st-year student. So, I didn't get a job. Campus placement is only for 3rd and 4th-year students.

Every year annual fest and tech fest happen in September. Lots of students participate in that tech fest. There is a big central library. Here you can find lots of reference books and journals for your course. Books from the library are provided to each and every student as textbooks. The classrooms are big, well furnished, full of light and air. Many small indoor trees are inside the classrooms. My college has many social media groups for sports, music, yoga, coding, meditation, dance, etc. Many extra curriculum activities are organized in the campus playground. Our senior students have many groups like the Coding group, Internship group, etc. I have joined those groups.

Here, Hostel facility is very good. In hostel, you can get two beds, two shelves, two study tables and two chairs, one fan. All the rooms are well furnished. Latin and toilets are well cleaned. Meal quality is good. Chowmins, Rice, Meat, Fish, Eggs, vegetables are provided. Foods are given five times per day. Hostel registration process is simple. You will contact the college and pay money for hostel. That's it. Hostel is easily affordable.
