Remarks
The education system is very good, I mean the teachers are really teach the whole syllabus. The major problem being the language problem and under exposure from the rest of the engineering world.
Entrance Preview
I gave WBJEE(west Bengal joint entrance examination) and was eligible(on the rank secured) to apply in all the colleges of West Bengal through online counseling.
Course Curriculum Overview
Among all the engineering colleges of India, I think it is only in Haldia(or maybe bengal), where the teachers really do care about the syllabus. They try to teach the whole syllabus and finish it off before the end semester exams. The English is a little bit strange though somewhat like benglish.
Internships Opportunities
Our college doesn't has any internship programs as of now. We have to apply ourselves to various companies regarding the same. we use online websites like twenty19 nd internshala the teachers do help us, how to get them easily.
Placement Experience
In our college mostly IT companies like Infosys, TCS, wipro comes with an average pay of 18k per month. Only 2-3core companies visit our campus like BOC, TATA CHEMICALS, and give an average pay of 24k per month.
College Events
We have two fests, one is the cultural fest organised in the odd semester and the tech fest organised in the even semester. The tech fest is done on a national level and students from all over India are allowed to participate. In the cultural fest majority of the times bengali artists are invited to perform.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Tuition fee-rs32000/semester. Hostel fee-rs7200/semester it is feasible. There are even discounts for TFW and minority group students. the total tuition fees for 8 seems mounts less than 4lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Hostel fees (full) and tuition fees(50%) is waived of for students with good CGPAS. They do have to go through an interview.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is good for all the branches(except fore core). Branches like FT & BT have higher females than males. Some of the faculties are a little bit more inclined towards being nicer to bengali students.
Hostel Facilities
I lived in hostel for 1 year and then moved to a PG. Hostel rooms were neat and clean, the foods served in hostel mess is not that good(bongs loved that food). The PG in that city costs around 6k for triple sharing.
Alumni/Alumna
We have alumni meet annually where seniors who have really made it big help us to reach higher milestones. Provide us links and carrier opportunities.
Exam Structure
We have two internal examination which is converted to 30 marks and a university/end sem examinations of 70 marks. For all the practical papers 100 marks of practical examination is taken(lab+copy+grand viva).
