WBJEE I scored around 8000 i chose marine engg because I liked the prospect at sea i have my uncle in the shipping industry so I had a pre idea about the course and industry.

I think it is the cheapest marine college fee structure is very transparent and is not very expensive if only marine is consideted but for others it may be a bit more expensive.

Loans are easily available and can be repayed in a single contract at sea i did not avail loan but there is loan facility available from plenty of banks.

Gender ratio as per marine is not female oriented other streams like bio tech etc have females all kinds from all over India girls and boys have seperate hostels and canteen and good security.

Excellent hostel and food veg non veg are very much available canteen are very elaborate and every hostel have there own canteen.so there is no rush.

Neotia have a good alumini and as for shipping is concerned there is a good relationship even today most of us are still connected as we frequently meet in the Mmd fr competency exams.

Exam structure is as per dg shipping it is a bit hectic but there is anything and parade and many other visits and sometimes we have dock visits too.

Excellent workshop and in house ship in campus faculty are very known in the industry and the dean is very well versed in the mmd/mmd is the main branch needed after college and most faculty are external examiners in the mmd.
