Entrance Preview

I got this college through UPTU entrance exam, my rank was above 3000, I live in delhi so I needed a college from which I can do daily up and down.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum was good starting from 1st semester to 8th semester, as students were from different backgrounds so in 1st sem there was math and bio as well then gradually increasing depth for pharmaceutics and pharmacology in 4th year.

Internships Opportunities

Internship experience was ok. It was done in arbro pharmaceutical in kirti nagar internship was done from college end,no stipend was offered. I done my internship in quality control for 1 week for 8hr/day.

Placement Experience

3

I would say college is good but the course b.pharm has no scope in india for b.pharm there are two types of jobs one in production other is marketing in production there is very less package of around 5k-7k per month. In marketing initially package is low but with experience and if by chance you are in a company which is doing target then there are fabolus incentives. But I would recomened have your last option b.pharm. I didt got placement from college only 20 from 60 students batch got placementfrom outside i got placed as marketing rep.

College Events

1.5

There use to be one festival every year there use to be dancing, singing and stage dramas. It use to run for 2 days starting from morning 10 am there use to be some type of activity happening every hour.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure at my time was comparable to other b.pharm old colleges. Fees was around 40k in 1st year, 50k in 2nd year, 65k in 3rd year and 80k in 4th year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know any scholarship facility offered by college but at that time there is to be scholarship given by mayawati cm of up for tution fees of college.

Campus Life

5

Campus life was good but in bpharm there were dress code so while walking around campus we use to feel jealous of our b.tech counterparts. There were no extracurricular activities organized by our department.

Alumni/Alumna

It was second batch so really cant comment on alumni network, but now college has started once in a year alumni meet. Seniors of my batch was good. They really helped with some notes and books.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is quite stressed you come from school thinking college exam structure will be some relax. But no, it was like your board exam happening every sem and twice in a year. In the middle of each sem there use to be unit test practicals were quite relax, after lunch practical would start for 3-4hr.

Faculty

5

Faculty is good, during practical and classes they are willing to help you in your studies. At my time there were 12 lecturers.4 phd and 8 Mpharm. Even hod that time it was pk sharma used to take lectures in absence of faculty or if needed for better understanding of a subject. There was Sanjeev sir for pharmaceutics which I would say was the best of them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In current scenarios b pharma is one of the best option to pursue carrier for becoming drug inspector or pharmacist. The frequency of exam is after every 3 months we have to give sessional exams followed by annual exams ( theory + practicals).

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are average, not very high but some companies do visit every year. Students become eligible for placements from final year, mostly from 7th or 8th semester. Companies are not very big mostly local or mid level pharma companies come. Some roles offered are like production, quality control and marketing. Highest package is not very high, around 3-4 LPA and average package is around 2-2.5 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is not very high, maybe around 40-50% approx. Many students prefer to go for higher studies or try off campus jobs. My plan after completing degree is to look for job in pharma field or maybe go for higher studies depending on opportunity. Overall placement is okay but needs improvement.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is average, not very high but also not too bad. Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Some companies visit the college but not many big companies comes regularly. Companies like small pharma companies and local companies visit and offer roles like production, quality control and sales. The highest package is around 3–4 LPA and average package is about 2–2.5 LPA. Number of offers is also limited and not all students get placed. Around 30-40% students get placement from campus, rest students have to search job on their own or go for higher studies. College gives some support but not very strong placement help. Because of this, many students including me are planning for higher studies or preparing for competitive exams to get better opportunities. Overall placement is okay but need improvement.
