Remarks

For general caste students, 75% was the eligibility to get admission in our college and I got 88%. The cut-off for this year was 80%. I didn't avail any reservation benefits. Personally, I would like to get the admission procedure more simple as they ask for documents to upload in jpeg form and it should be below 20kb so it's a bit annoying.

Since the beginning when I was in school I had an interest in business and how the market works so I chose commerce as my stream in school and in college BCom with account honors. In my class, there are 40 students. Some teachers teach really pathetic they don't care if the students are understanding the concept or not but most teachers are pretty humble and hard working.

Internships Opportunities

I have no idea about the internship opportunities available in my college. I don't think there are any campus placements going on in my college. But they recently shared an app Internshala in order for us, students, to get internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

For three years it's total around 16k excluding examination fees. Recently I applied for an AIKYASHREE scholarship and the college verified it very soon. My college even helps in internship facilities but they don't really provide placement.

Campus Life

I have no idea about the fests as I'm in my first year right now and colleges are partially open sometimes due to COVID. Mostly all of the books are available in the library. My college has a ground for basketball, cricket, and football.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
