Remarks
I appeared in the JEE (Main) examination in 2020 in which I secured All India Rank 96351. For admission in B. Tech courses, the student must have secured 65% in their 10+2 examination. For admission to my college, I participated in the HSTES counseling which was held completely online. So any student who wishes to take admission can register on the HSTES website and participate in counselling. No, I haven't availed of any reservation. I don't think any improvement is required in the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
Based on my CRL, I was offered this course, and I was willing to take this. As, in the Electronic and Communication course, I can study the core and learn any language that can help in improving my programming skills. For every subject, only one faculty is appointed that teaches about 70 students in my class. All the faculty members are well qualified. Most of them are PhD holders and have great teaching experience. Despite, the situation, our faculty members are teaching well in the online classes. I have given 2 end-semester examinations till now, and these were objective-based exams. So, I find easy to pass them as I started my preparation from day one of the session.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered for final-year students. The students are required to submit their CV (Calyxpod format) on an online platform provided by the Training and Placement Cells. In the last few days, a company named "Garuda Aerospace Pvt Ltd" came to our college for internships opportunities. For that internship students of 3rd, 4th year from any course were eligible to participate. No prior experience or skill was asked during this internship.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester onwards, students become eligible to sit for campus placements. There are lots of companies that visited our colleges like Amazon, Gemini Solution, Panasonic, KPMG, Adobe, Oyo Rooms, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, Airtel, Wipro, and many more. From the record, the Highest package offered was 29.90 LPA and 7.8 LPA average package. About 90.38% of students got placed in the academic year 2021-22*. After my degree, I will look for a job and will continue for 2 years for saving. Then, after I have a plan to prepare for the government examinations.
Fees and Financial Aid
The pros of this college are low fees. I checked many colleges across India and I find this college with the minimum fees. Also, the fees hike is not very high for the next semesters. Also, the hostel fees are not very high every student from a middle-class family can afford to study here. For the students of 1st semester, the college provided a scholarship called "Vishwa Prakash Mission" in which every 2 students from every course were awarded. Since currently, I am in the 3rd semester I do not have experience regarding jobs and stipends on campus. But, considering the previous year's record, the job opportunities in this college are good. Many companies visited every year and offer good packages or stipend.
Campus Life
The college conducts "Culmyca (The Cultural cum Technical Fest of YMCAUST, Faridabad)' technical fest. This is a 3-Day Cultural & Technical Festival. Books are easily available in the library and you can keep them for 15 days after issue. Also, a space is provided for students in the library. The classroom is quite big and has enough space to sit and move around. ACS is installed in every classroom with a ventilation process that provides a pleasant atmosphere to study. We have a large ground, where the student plays football, cricket, volleyball, etc. And a dedicated auditorium for sports like badminton, kabaddi, table tennis, etc. There are lots of groups run by the students. Based on the interest, course students are offered to participate in these clubs. Such clubs are "Samarpan- The Technophilia", Ajya, Vividha- The Drama Society, Microbird, Pragyan, etc.
