Remarks
To persue this course one needs to complete their 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 75% marks .The main selection process for B.TECH is totally made on the basis of JEE MAINS rank . JEE MAINS was conducted 4 times in our year i.e 2021.The examination fee was 650 per session.In 2021,the cutoff rank(general category)for Computer Science and engineering was 47769 and for ECE it was 64155 in the last round of CSAB. Students get admission in the collage through JOSAA and CSAB councelling.
Course Curriculum Overview
My JEE Mains rank was 38632. In this rank i had to choose between lower branches of NIT's and Computer Science of IIIT's. As my interests were little bit tilted towards CSE , therefore i choosed IIIT kalyani over NIT's. All the faculties are highly qualified in IIIT kalyani . In online mode exam schedule is very hectic. There is atleast one exam in almost every week.
Internships Opportunities
In IIIT kalyani students gets internship opportunities from 3 rd year onwards. Students in our collage undergo summer internships at the end of 3rd year.The collage invites companies to induct third year students for summer internships.
Placement Experience
In our collage from the fourth year i.e 7th semester students become eligible for oncampus placements. This year placements are excellent in our collage . A total of 70 students registered for placements this year and 64 students are already having job offers till phase 2 of oncampus placements . Approximately 92% of the students are placed. The highest package till 2nd phase is 15 LPA and the average package is 10.22 LPA. A total of 88 jobs are offered till 2nd phase of oncampus placement. Some of the companies that recruited from our collage are JIO, TCS , Capgemini , Nvidia and many others.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total tution fee for 4 years is 7,92,020 ,which is very high as compared to Government Medical collages .Even some private collages have less fees as compared to IIT's ,NIT's and IIT's. The total hostel and mess fees is almost 80,000 per year. There are many scholarships available but most of them are either based on family income or if you have some kind of reservation. There is a separate placement cell in our collage which plays a crucial role in locating jobs. Placements are pretty good this year.Till 2nd phase the average package is 10.22 LPA and 92% of the students are already placed. The highest package till now is 15LPA. There are 88 job offers made this year until the 2nd phase
Campus Life
As IIIT kalyani is a relatively new collage therefore for a long time our collage did not have its own fest. But after pandemic once things gets normal we will be having our own fest. The kalyani town has a stadium and number of grounds for sports activities.As the permanent campus is still under construction students play in these grounds. Various events also takes place in theke grounds.As we do not have our permanent campus , therefore you cannot compare the sports facilities in our collage with that of NIT's and IIT's.
