Remarks

Admission to NITs is through JOSAA counseling based on JEE Main . Admission process can be made more simpler by making documents verification process smooth. Admission process can also be made faster as currently it took about a month after declaration of result to reporting to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Major exams i.e. Mid semester exam and End semester exam held as per acedmic Calendar. Professors take occasionally test in classrooms (sometimes surprise tests too) to have a eye on acedmic growth of students. Exams are good. You need to study properly to get passed as paper is never easy . You need to have good knowledge of the subject to score good CGPA.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

BTech students during their 8th semester were given a project to work upon , professors help them in getting better knowledge of the industry . It is very important to bridge gap between acedmic curriculum and industry requirements to bridge this gap each student work on some projects and after completion they are industry ready with clear outcomes.

Placement Experience

3.5

7th semester onwards students are eligible for placements . There are many companies like Accenture, BHEL, Vedanta, Zs Associates, EIL, SAIL and many more I can't write name of all .. about 100s companies visit college for placements this year. Till now as i know this year highest package is of 40lakh in R&D department of Samsung and average package will hang something about 7_8lakhs per annum. Non core branches have almost 95_100% of placement this year while if we talk of core brances placement % is somewhere between 40 to 50%. After degree i also opt for campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm currently in 5th semester and from general category that's why i was not eligible for any scholarships. Some of my friends who are from reserved category got some scholarship . During your stay in college if you get infected to any disease whose treatment you can't afford in that case college provide financial assistance for the treatment. I got opportunity to do internship at NHAI.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many clubs, groups and websites for students run by students like educult, semicolon, hindi bhasha prakosth, art club, dance club, environment club etc. One can join any club of their interest.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

It is compulsory in our college to take hostel if you are from other states. Hostels are good and well furnished with proper facilities of electricity, gysers, fans . There is also a good gym if you are a fitness freak.

Other Applied Colleges

Other NITs | Civil engineering

Because NIT SRINAGAR is very prestigious college in North India.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
