Remarks

Becoming an engineer was my dream since 11th standard. With some guidance from my teachers, i prepared for JEE exam. My top preferences were IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and IIT Roorkee. I got admission in IIT Bombay after appearing for the interview and the counselling round. IIT Bombay is ranked 3rd by NIRF in 2021. The entire admission procedure was done online and the registration fee was Rs. 750.

Course Curriculum Overview

An IIT offers the best course curriculum for a technical degree in India. The entire course consists of 274 credits. Project is covered in last two semesters. I personally enjoyed the practical subjects more than the theoretical ones. Qualification of the professors was just perfect describing the level of an IIT. All the faculty members were PhD qualified and were experienced in their fields.

Class Size: 92Course Fees: INR 228000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements of IIT Bombay are well known in India. In the year 2020, placement percentage was observed around 83%. A total of 532 students participated in the placement week. Highest domestic package was Rs. 62.28 LPA and the highest international package was Rs. 1.16 CPA. Microsoft, Google, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Boston consulting Group, Apple, Bain were some of the companies who participated for the placements and visited the campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

IIT is a government owned institute, so a lot of scholarship options are available for the students. The entire cost is Rs. 9.12 lakhs for four years. This fee only includes tuition fee and no other charges. Merit scholarship, Sports scholarship and scholarships for SC/ST/OBC categories who come from financially weak families are the most opted ones by the students. I opted for the merit scholarship.

Campus Life

I have lived only for some time here at the campus due to the pandemic but those few months were pretty great. Academics and cultural activities goes hand in hand. I used to study all day and attended the lectures while at night, i enjoyed the hostel life. IIT is the hub for guest lectures and motivational speakers. Most of the celebrities have visited here and told us about their life journey. Sports ground remained occupied every evening by the students.

AS FOR PLACEMENT , TNP TRIES REALLY HARD TO GET STUDENT PLACED. MULTIPLE COMPANY VISIT THE CAMPUS. NAMELY INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, TCS, CAPEGEMINI, AMDOCS, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, ETC MULTUPLE APTITUDE ASSESMENT AND CODING ASSESMENT ARE CONDUCTED BY COMPANIES. MANY STUDENT GET PLACED AT AVERAGE OF 4.5 . OFFER ARE LIKE 3LPA, 3,5LPA.4,5LPA, 7LPA, MAX 9LPA OR THIS YEAR BUT STILL IN MY OPNION STUDENT ARE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH EFFORT IN THEIR PLACEMENT DRIVES AND HAVE VERY CASUAL ATTITUDE. SO PERCENTAGE IS AROUND 40% AND I'LL NOT BLAME COLLEGE FOR THIS PERCENTAGE ATLEAST NOT TNP, CUZ FOR SOME REASON STUDENT ARE CLEARING FAILING HERE AS FOR ME I'M PLANNING FOR FURTHER STUDIES

There are placements in the college, but the company select only few like from hundreds they select only 9 to 10 students which are capable enough according to the standard who have done internships and have some experience in their field as the companies don't want to teach them from the starting

College review for better selection for better opportunities in future

Placement Experience:

From 4th Year students are eligible for campus placements. The companies that visites my college campus are accenture, capgemini, tcs and many more . The highest package students get places are 12-14 Lakhs per annum and average pakage is around 4-5 lakhs per annum . The percentage of students get places is around 60-80% and majority of them are from CE and IT . Many of them try to get placed from off campus due to their desired companies they want to join or they want more packages

SAKEC- best college ever

Placement Experience:

Sakec have many job/internship opportunities. The college provides different trainings and intership opportunities. Currently, in 2023-24, 42 students have alreday been placed with 25 LPA (highest CTC offered). College have tie-up with many reknowed companies. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. My plan after getting the degree of bachelor of engineering is to go for masters and acknowledge more and more knowledge in engineering filed. And be my level best. I'm also looking forward for opportunities to go abroad for my mtech degree. Future my expectations form college are High. I'm sure being a student of such prestigious college with help me alot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

It is a great college for learning

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm choosing this course because I'm interested in programming languages. Faculty members here are at the best level. They are very supportive and knowledgeable. They made lectures most interactive. All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.

Best in the neighborhood, convenient to reach , easily accessible for all the student's , good faculty and good quality of education, amenities available are great along with the essential facilities. Exposure to national level competitions along with the motivation to attempt them.Practical knowledge is also provided with the theoretical knowledge

Iit Bombay the dream college

I did applied for iit delhi also as it was my home town but got IIT Bombay as it was much better for me because of placements and brand value. so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More
