Remarks

The admission process was smooth for me, it was based on a cut-off list. I had to submit proof of the percentage of marks i got in 12th standard, which was the CBSE 12th report card, after which, i was eligible for admission in the 1st cut-off list.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The term exams used to happen twice a year, 2 semesters in one year and a total of 6 semesters in the term of 3 years. The exams were universal for all the colleges falling under Delhi University. The professors taught us well and helped us get the correct study materials we would need. Considering you pay attention in classes and do your regular assignments well, you can easily pass the exams. I was able to get an overall 9.2 CGPA in my college life.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship opportunities are great at LSR. Year around- a lot of companies come in with great internship opportunities (both paid and unpaid). The internships are mostly available for all kinds of courses and in various domains, like finance, marketing, HR, data analysis and others. In general, business development and sales internships are higher. Companies offering internships include Dell, Bank of America, Citi Bank, JSW and others.

Placement Experience

4.5

A lot of different companies visit our college regularly for final year students. These include Bank of America, Ernst and Young, Deloitte, Hindustan Unilever Limited and many others. The placement opportunity provided at our college is great. The overall highest package for 3 year course is Rs. 38lakhs/annum. However, only 10% students are able to get placed. So its very necessary for students to be active and engaged throughout their college life to be able to get placed. The environment is highly competitive. Profiles offered range from Business Analyst, Marketing and finance jobs, HR, and others. I got placed right after graduating.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very reasonable considering it is a central university (government college). My fee was somewhere between Rs. 16000-17000 annually. I had 1 year of online classes due to rise in covid cases so we got assistance in that and our fee was reduced to Rs. 10000 annually for that year. I got into a part time internship at Finladder from my college. That was a paid opportunity. I also got placed at Inmobi Technology Services Pvt Ltd. with a package of Rs. 9 lakhs/annum after my graduation. The internship and placement opportunities at LSR are great. Its just that at the end, the participation and personal growth you focus on, in your college life matters at the end.

Campus Life

5

At LSR, we have an annual fest named Tarang which happens every year around February. Its a 3 three fun event with a DJ night, musical night, fun games, exhibitions, dance, drama and food stalls. We also have department wise fests. For commerce, we had Comquest which happened around September. It was the annual academic meet of the Commerce department where we organised various events and students from various college across the country and abroad came to participate. The library is fully furnished with all varieties of books available. Classrooms are spacious, with greenery all along the campus. Sports, dance, music and drama is highly encouraged in our college. We have active clubs and societies for all of these. We have a compulsory participation in either NCC, NSS or NSO for atleast a year in our college. We also have clubs like Enactus, Entrepreneurship Cell and others for student learning.

Other Applied Colleges

NMIMS | B.Com (Hons)

Got better opportunity at LSR.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
