IIIHM course help in developing skills like MBA students but it is lengthy,heavy and hectic so need to prepare because getting through 3 years in IIHM is no kids play.

It was regular entrance procedure which included Online Q&A, Group discussion and personal interview. Reason i opted for this college was because it provide 2 degree's one Indian and one foreign (UNIVERSITY OF WEST LONDON) and diploma in BSc and other reason was the college connection and reputation with many good hotels as well as other related companies.

The course was bit hard for the people who cannot work more because its like 40-60 type course 40 percent theory and 60 percent practicals. There are total 6 semesters (three years) including 6 month industrial training and other activities which help developing skills. Staff was very good and skilled as most of the staff itself come from hotel background.

Yes, internship is a part of semester. There is 6 month industrial training (ON THE JOB TRAINING). Novotel, Hayat, Leela, Taj, Ibis, and even QSRs (Quick Service Restaurants) like Starbucks, Dominos, McDonalds, and other companies like Metro cash and carry are the popular brands that came for interview and we do have International Internship programs as well.

Currently there is shortage of required skilled staff in Hotel Industry so they will be looking in to colleges which train for this (BSc). Our college is connected with many good brands which are right now doing well in the business and need professionals to handle the department, not only in Hotels our college is linked with many other related brands. Companies like Accor group, Taj, Hayat, Hilton, Leela, Oberoi's, McDonald, Dominos, Starbucks offering packages like 2,50,000-?3,50,000/- P.A.

Events like field trips, industy visit, guest lectures and local festival celebrations were normal for us but the best event anyone in college wait for the food fest where each and every student get busy in designing an event so its kind of event managemen and students need to organize it on there own working in team like Marketing, Cultural, Kitchen department, Service department, Decoration team, finance department and we get marks according to the participation in the event.

Fee structure is quite expensive for a hotel management course 1,60,000 approximately excluding hostel facilities. Hostel is just fine located near college and mess food is edible and tasty. But whatever we are paying it is worth because no college provide 2 degree and one diploma.

I really dont have any idea regarding the scholarship or any loan facilities provided by college. But college to provide feasible payment mode like student can pay in installments if they have some genuine money/family issues.

Talking about gender ratio it is like 4:1 (4 boys is to 1 girl). In college you can find people from all over country and even internationally and we are thought about team work already so we get along, there is no differentiation for any race,caste, sexual orientation or economic statues every body is treated same. There are many workshops, practicals, held for developing skills for team work and even for self.

In IIHM you only have chilled out day when its holiday else it will be busy you will be Having exams coming, assignments over head, deadlines to meet and our college have 85% attendance compulsion. There were 6 semester in three years each of 6 months. Which include Practicals, assignments and Written exams.
