Remarks

Facility given by institute to students are very good. So, till date I did not find any negative points regarding the institute.

Entrance Preview

IISER Aptitute Test. The facilities are world class. Hostel and campus are very good. Faculties are also well qualified and very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The facilities are world class in term of research and we can do whatever innovative idea we have by consulting with faculties. And also we are treated as very important and the Government of India is spending crores of money for research in the institute.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. Rs. 5000 per month. all the students will get access to most of the research facility in the institute.

Placement Experience

3

The institute does not provide direct job facility. Students prefer to do PhD. So, students goes abroad for PhD and also in India also. We do not prefer getting direct job after the degree. Most of the students want to at least contribute something in science. So, research is the best option instead of doing job.

College Events

4.5

KARAVAAN is annual cultural fest which is celebrated every year in the institute. It is sponsored by institute as well as many external funding agencies and private companies. There are also many clubs like DISHA, PRUTHA etc which help in teaching students of poor families and also planting trees for environment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are very low as this is government funding institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every student will get INSPIRE scholarship whoever get admitted. So regarding fellowship this is the best one. Every BS-MS student get Rs. 5000 per month and contingency grant also. PhD student also get CSIR fellowship.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is awesome. Gender ratio is around 2:1 for boys. Labs are awesome. Everything is modern facility. Sports life is awesome we have world class ground and all modern equipment. There are also many debate and quiz competetions which held from time to time. So, overall campus life is very good.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Mess and hostel are excellent. Fees is around Rs. 10000 per semester and regarding mess, food are very hygienic and very high quality. Hostel is very awesome. It looks like apartment which is of world class. It is very spacious also.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the alumni and seniors students are pursuing PhD and doing research in different parts of the world.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
