IIIT Nagpur Review

I was looking for a college with a low crowd and a good placement for B.Tech as my plans were to have some professional experience before opting for B.Tech. During the JOSAA counselling as per my JEE score, I was told about IIIT Nagpur and I was allotted a seat for the ECE program from IIIT Nagpur. The college is new establishment under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model by the MHRD. The college faculty is good and the college only focuses on the B.Tech program at the moment. The college mainly focuses on CSE and ECE programs at the moment.

Nowadays many things have changed the curriculum is flexible as it is regularly updated as per the latest industrial norms and international standards. The curriculum is designed to train our minds to be ready for upcoming technological changes and advancements due to covid many things have slowed down but the technology has moved and changed very fast the curriculum teaches us to cope up with it and meet such challenges. The faculties of the college are also highly qualified mainly the faculty of the new institutes are not up to the mark but the college does not compromise with the quality of the faculty. The faculty is not only of PhD standards but also have good research work experience which is really an incredible benefit for us.

As TCS is the college partner under the PPP scheme most of the internship is provided through TCS. The college arranges internship programs with the help of the college placement committee. We have to register all our details with the college placement committee so that they can help us for internship and later on these details are used by the placement committee for placements. The average stipend for the internship program was around 65k.

For a new college which was established in 2016 and providing such a good placement is really commendable. The college has a record of around 85% placement record why 85% because most of our batchmates went for higher studies. The college placement committee is very professional and plays a very important role during our placement rounds as our details are already with the committee so they are also successful in inviting companies as per our interest. The placement committee helps us and guide us during the placement process. The highest package for our batch was approx 44 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA.

The complete course fee of the college is around 10 lakh which is a little on the costlier side due to its PPP program. The college placements are also very good. The college provides scholarships on a merit basis. The college also provides financial assistance from 1 lakh to 3 lakh. For more scholarship detail one can visit the college official website.

The campus life of the college is good. The college administrative staff is very professional and cooperative. TantraFiesta is the technical fest and Abhivyakti is the cultural fest of the college. The college library is new so there are many new books from the new generation of authors is available and most of the books that ae available in library are of latest edition. The college also keeps on organising small functions from time to time. The college also has a club named called "Skilled Night" we can also become a part of the club and can learn new skills.

The hostel is well made and properly maintained. The rooms of the hostel are available on four-seater, triple seater, double seater and single-seater. The hostel rooms are properly cleaned and the bathrooms are also properly cleaned and sanitized. The mess food quality is good and the food is cooked in a hygienic environment. The hostel staff and the wardens are very cooperative and friendly. The decorum of the hostel is very well maintained.
