IIIT Kalyani is one of the popular colleges for its B.Tech program the college infrastructure is good and the board of directors include a member from the central and the state government. B.Tech program is the flagship program of the college. I was allotted the college during my JOSAA counselling and my JEE and academic score meet the college cutoff criteria. The college admission process was smooth a hassle-free.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the college is good but the curriculum is lengthy. Each and every detail regarding the engineering program and designing language is included in the curriculum. The curriculum gives us an insight into electronic components and electronic circuits design in detail. The faculty of the college is also very good they properly understand our mindset and teach us accordingly. Their teaching methods are so good that we are properly hooked in the class and every concept is easily understood.
Internships Opportunities
The college has a very good internship program. As our details are registered with the college placement committee for internship and we can take part in the college internship program after completing the three years of our program. The average stipend for the internship program is approx 56k.
Placement Experience
The college has very good placement packages. In upcoming years college can easily compete with the top institute of India in terms of placement. The college has a record of 100% placement. The highest package was around 19 LPA and the average salary package was around 11 LPA. The college placement committee is very responsible and they completely help us in college placement rounds so that every participating member is placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
At the moment the college does not have its individual scholarship schemes but an education loan facility is available and the admission department is very cooperative during the education loan process. The average complete course fee is around 8 lakh and the average salary package is around 10 to 11 LPA and the highest salary package goes up to 20 lakh which is a very good return on investment.
Campus Life
Octoberfest is the college annual fest. The college provides a very good environment for studies. The college classrooms are good and very well maintained. The guest faculty also visit the college campus which is a very good learning experience for us. The college library is the house of many national and international bestseller books that we can avail freely to read. The college labs are modern.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are available for triple and double accommodation. The rooms have basic facilities like bed, almirah and study table for every one of us. the hostel mess food is good but the menu is limited. The hostel wardens and the staff are very cooperative and professional. the hostel has 24 hours of water and power supply. High-speed WiFi connectivity is also available. The hostel has every kind of facility and amenities for us.
