One of the oldest & best college for engineering & architecture

College management is very rude not supporting student. In my four years of engineering the feel was i am studying in a government college where fee is less and no facilities for student welfare.

I had appeared for OJEE and rank was 6500. I opted for this college because of the branch i wanted to study was Mechanical Engineering and this college have huge infrastructure and facility for the same.

Course curriculum is as per Biju Patnaik University of Technology so there is very less scope for research and syllabus also out of date. But college provides facility to student for taking part in research activities as so many research project have initiate by college with govt organizations like BHEL and CISR.

No college doesn't provide internship as it is not listed in course curriculum. Student have to take care of the internship if they are interested.

Placement is very poor. No companies coming. Most of the placements are of off campus type and chances are very low for getting through. Average Placement package is around 2-3L and college don't care about placement. They have tied up with two consultant to provide pre placement training which is vane. Don't expect a good placement from this college.

Only one national level tech fest called IGNITRON which used to happening in the month of January apart from that several national level seminars and training programs used to happen on regular intervals. Festivals like Ganesh Puja, Saraswati Puja and Biswakarma Puja celebrate with very high enthusiasm.

Fee structure is feasible as it follows the govt. rules. My time fee was around 60000 PA. No hidden fees and fee included bus facilities. Apart from that fee waiver available for deserving candidates which is really helpful for the needy. Fee structure is get modified every year.

The coordination between senior-junior batches, with various batches used to be good. All the students used to act as a single group of students. Mostly during the festivals and functions the bond used to get more stronger between different batches.

Campus life was hectic. Gender ratio was less in core branches but high in non core branches. People from allover India mostly from Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh preferred this college. Campus it is not large but looking beautiful. Coming to the extra curricular activities people used to take part in song, dance and sports like cricket, foot ball and volly. Yes of course being an engineering college lot of scope for robotics, web designing, hacking and coding. College do have clubs for these activities

I was not staying in hostel and I was not also taking the mess food. But the general canteen food used to be okay. The quantity and price used to be in an average. Hostel lite life was enjoyable and the facilities they are getting was good what they pay for.

Senior students are well placed and working for companies like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Tata Steel but sad part is college never bother about them nor organize any alumni day which crates a huge gap between alumni and student interaction.

Days at ABIT is very hectic as management is very strict on attendance. Even they create trouble if attendance is less than 75%. Facilities in labs are good, lot of scope for self learners. Faculties are very strict on ab report even they awarded F grade if you don't match the minimum criteria.

Faculties are very good with higher qualification. Mainly faculty of Mechanical,Electrical & EEE have very high reputation and are from organizations like OTPCL, Bhava, SAIL. Faculties are also very strict and din't take time to punish if you caught in malpractices.
