Remarks

Himachal Pradesh Technical University properly known as HPTU is a government college. To take admission in the college we have to fill the admission form from the college website and we have to pay the fee of 1500 and all the schedule and process is properly described for admission is properly described in the college website. After getting selected we are called for counseling the college and allowed admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the college is good and all types of regulations are followed. The curriculum is the latest and as per the latest industrial norms. The curriculum teaches us about every concept and module of electrical components. The faculty is also good and cooperative. The faculty has a minimum of 8-10 years of experience. their teaching methods are good and they properly help us during our assignments and guide us throughout the academic tenure.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 52700 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship program is optional if we take part in the internship program we are paid with the stipend and the average stipend is around 25k. We also have to submit the assignment after completing the internship program on the topic provided by the respective subject faculty.

Placement Experience

The college placement is just decent the college also does not have a proper placement cell. The college has a placement committee but only 1-2 members are in it. The college has a record of 70-75% of placement. The salary offer of the college is around 10 LPA and the average salary offer is around 5 LPA but most of prefer to go for further studies. Many companies such as Honda, Procter & Gamble, Yes Bank, Citi Bank, ITC, Cipla, Indigo, etc visit our campus during the college placement drive.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college complete fee is 3 lakh but the placement offer of the college are around 5 LPA which is decent as compared to the college fees. The college does not have any individual scholarship programs but the state and central funded scholarship programs are available.

Campus Life

The college campus life is good. The classrooms are properly maintained. The infrastructure of the college is good. The labs are good and very well maintained. The college celebrates Independence and Republic Day. The college is located in a very good location and the scenes are very beautiful. The college also celebrates Holi on the campus. The college library is small but we can find a variety of books related to our subjects.

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Great Learning, Friendly Campus, and Bright Future

I applied to AKTU, IPU, and a few private colleges. I got selected in 2, but picked this college as it has low fees, good teachers, and fair job offers. Seniors also gave good reviews about the labs and coding help. Yes, I could not get a seat in IPU due to low rank. I was close but missed the cutoff for CS. My JEE score was not high enough. I did not apply under spot round as I had already joined this college. Admission is based on JEE Main or state test like HPCET. Cutoffs differ for each branch. You need to pass 12th with PCM.
