Remarks

A person should get 90% or above in 10+2, and a JEE Mains rank below 1,00,000. The application form can be found on the college website itself, www.juit.ac.in. The fees structure will also be provided on the website itself. War widow wards and army official wards get reservations. Overall, the admission process is great and easy to understand.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose computer science and engineering because of my interest in this field. Also, in the upcoming future, computer science has a lot of scopes and potential to provide job opportunities to students. The faculty student ratio is about 1:60. The faculty is well qualified. Most teachers share a good qualification from IIT's/NIT's and other various top-tier degrees. The term exams are conducted every two months. Every semester, there are a total of 3 terms. The exams are usually moderate and it's not difficult to pass the exams.

Internships Opportunities

Google provides internship opportunities for web development. Nvidia provides internship opportunities for artificial intelligence. Infosys provides internships in cyber securities. Overall, internships for each field are provided by the companies.

Placement Experience

Placements usually begin from the 7th semester. The placements on-campus provide very decent packages as per the potential and capabilities of the students. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, Google, Wipro, etc. provide placements and 99% placement is guaranteed. The highest package is usually around 32 LPA and the average package is around 10 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is quite good to invest in such types of colleges as they are not overpriced and have reasonable fees as compared to other private colleges. Many government schemes for the students of Himanchal Pradesh and other students can avail themselves scholarships.

Campus Life

Lee Feastus is the annual fest of the college. Murious is the tech fest conducted every March/April. The library is well-enriched with books of all courses and good authors. The classes are well-equipped with bright lights and windows, there is excellent ventilation. Basketball, football, badminton, table tennis, etc. are the most played sports on the campus. Road track club is the social club. JYC club runs www.jyc.co.in .

Hostel Facilities

The hostel room provides a table, fan, chair, heater and a balcony. The food is very delicious and healthy. Quantity is unlimited for a meal. The registration for a hostel is very easy. The hostel is also quite affordable and not overpriced.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I applied for Chitkara, Cu, Du, HPU, SRM etc and the main reason I choose this college is because of the studies, placement and location. The study culuter in this unversity is very good as compared to other university . The student Teacher ratio not very large as compared to the other university which give every students a chance to stand out and get better results . I got acceptance from cu , du and 2 or 3 other colleges. Yes i also got rejections from colleges like SRM , VIT for not scoring a good percentile in jee and the fees and cost of living there i svery high as compare to JUIT . The admission process is very easy students can apply on the basis of their boards marks or on the basis of their JEE exams as well . JUIT- beautiful place

I applied in thapar, jiit, juit and Manipal. I got admission in all of them but I chose juit. I didn't go to jiit because my parents thought that environment of juit would be better. Also they were a bit hesitant to me living in Delhi for my graduation as people are very young during graduation. Didn't choose manipal as juit was better in every aspect other than placements. I had got admission in Jaypee noida but in 128 sector and also stream was IT which I didn't preferred so I left that.
