Remarks

Process for admission was on the basis of 10+2 cbse marks and the cut-ff was around 85%. the application form can be found on university website www.juit.ac.in. there you will be directed to registration and if selected then will be informed throughj mail.

Course Curriculum Overview

course cirriculam is very good and cointains all the information which a student needs. I have opted for computer science and according to me the cirriculam provided is best. Faculty is well qualified. Most of the teachers share a good qualification form big institutes. the term exams are conducted every two months. every semester have 3 terms.

infosys provide internship oppourtunities for web devlopment. nvidia provides internship oppurtumities for artificial intelligence. more companies like amazon,wipro also provides internship. overall, internship for each field are provided by the companies

placments begin from 7th semester. the placments on campus provide very decent packages as per the potential and capabilities of the students. compinies like amazon, google ,ibm, infosys etc. provide placments package of usually 32l.p.a.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is affordable and not too much expensive. Acadmic fee is around 96000/- per semester and hostel fee is 64000/- per semester. there is no other type of fee wich student has to pay and scholarship is provided to the students having anual income less tha 150000/-.

Campus Life

campus life is amazing. College is situated on the top of the mountains. Enviourment around the college is amazing. time to time diffrent types of cultural and acadmic programmes take place for the students entertainment.lee feastus is the anual fest of the college . classes are well equiped with lights and mordern techniques to teach like smart board.college has a library which has around 3,00,000 books which are easily accesiable to students.

Hostel Facilities

hostel have two types of room single and double. there is one chair, one table, one rack, one cupboard, one bed in a room. room cointains two lights, one fan and three switch boards. mell quality is good and menu is decided by the student body.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I applied for Chitkara, Cu, Du, HPU, SRM etc and the main reason I choose this college is because of the studies, placement and location. The study culuter in this unversity is very good as compared to other university . The student Teacher ratio not very large as compared to the other university which give every students a chance to stand out and get better results . I got acceptance from cu , du and 2 or 3 other colleges. Yes i also got rejections from colleges like SRM , VIT for not scoring a good percentile in jee and the fees and cost of living there i svery high as compare to JUIT . The admission process is very easy students can apply on the basis of their boards marks or on the basis of their JEE exams as well . After that students can attend the counselling sessions where they can vbisit the college get to know about the college . the admission staff is very helpful and they guide the students and family step by step throught out the whole process....Read More

JUIT- beautiful place

I applied in thapar, jiit, juit and Manipal. I got admission in all of them but I chose juit. I didn't go to jiit because my parents thought that environment of juit would be better. Also they were a bit hesitant to me living in Delhi for my graduation as people are very young during graduation. Didn't choose manipal as juit was better in every aspect other than placements. I had got admission in Jaypee noida but in 128 sector and also stream was IT which I didn't preferred so I left that.
