Being Mechanical at Heritage!

I went to this college in 2019. During that time or even now also the admission procedure is quite simple. To be eligible for the course you just have to secure 75% in your higher secondary exam. And have a decent place in JEE MAINS or WBJEE. The application forms are given via the official website and are distributed by the college authorities in their respective area. As I mentioned that admission process is very easy and a one day process. As of now there is no improvement needed. But afterwards if any thing needs then college will definitely focus on that.

I always wanted to be e mech engineer. So that was a the main reason to choose this stream. The teacher student's relationship is very adorable and every teacher tries to help their students clear all the doubts regarding anything. There are sufficient amount of faculty members to notice each and every student's need. Every faculty members are immensely qualified. Everyone holds either pHD, M.tech or doctorate degrees. So their experience is vast. The exams happens on the scheduled time. Few unit tests, surprise test and 2sem exams happens every year. Exams are quite simple. You just need to focus on the study materials provided by the respective subject teachers. Passing the subjects is real easy.

I have done internship during my 3rd year days. I have done both online and offline based internships. For online method I took the help of intershala and the offline method was under the college itself. College provides internship facilities to each and every individual students for their betterment and certificates that they can add to their CV. I have done internship of 30days under the TataSteel which was organized by the college in tatasteel workshop. Where I was in the furnace section trying to specialize in that section. Moto of this project was to determine the melting rate and solidication rate of any metal so that we can make good products at cheaper rate. That was hands on experience and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a “learn with fun" experience for me. And I hope every new students will enjoy the way I enjoyed during this internship period. In our college the job placement is excellent. Almost all the students get jobs with minimal efforts from their side. College does that all major things for them. Students become eligible for the campusing after they reach the 4th year level in B.Tech. after the 7th sem college sends the students for the job interviews organized inside the college campus where the interviews happen. After getting selected the students are reserved and after the successful course completion they directly join the job office they were chosen for. So that's a simple process. Almost 70+ companies visits our college every year so job placement is almost guaranteed for each students. Companies like TCS, Wipro, mindtree, CapGemini, Infosys,TATA Steel etc. The highest package offered till date was around 10.5lac pa. And lowest or average package offered is around 4lac pa. So that's a decent amount in the starting. Around 70%+ students gets placement every year. My plan is to join as a mech engineer!!

The fees structure is quite nominal for the respective course. As the service HIT provides this fees just worth it!! But yes, after the lockdown period there is some minimal amount of raise in the fees structure. But that's the case with every school and colleges now. Our college provides every kind of financial assistance to the students in their need. Scholarship schemes are also being provided to students, there are different ranges of scholarships based on the yearly family income of the students. Job is the main highlight of our college. Our college provides jobs in huge numbers. Every year around 60-70companies(large and small) comes and employs the students in their companies.

The college campus is enormous and their is no boundation in anything. The atmosphere is completely ragging free zone. So due to which the students enjoys their time spending in this college. The annual fest happens every year in the month of Nov-December. The fest comprises of different kinds of fun events and many surprises are being given to the winner students. It's like a festival for the HIT college students. The tech fest called TECH-RIDE Happens during the mid year in between June-July. All the students tries to build new and innovative science projects. All the findings are done by the college itself. The library is huge and comprises of large number of engineering books, comics, journals and many other categories. Our college focuses on sports too. Cricket, football and kabaddi events are organized at frequent intervals. There's no fixed time for these events. Our college has 3clubs run by the students- musical club, tech club and RCHIT(Rotaract club of heritage institute).
