The college management was drastically changed post the arrival of a new principal. Overall; my college experience of five years was truly fruitful.
Entrance Preview
I opted for commerce stream after clearing my SSC examination. There was no entrance examination. I scored 60.66% in SSC and FYJC admissions were closed at 62%. As a result, my admission was delayed by a month.
Course Curriculum Overview
I loved the course curriculum. Commerce has always been my favorite stream. I always wanted to nature my commercial mindset with the help of academics and practical experience. That was my main internet and most importantly. I had a complete agreement with my internet.
Internships Opportunities
In case Commerce stream, no internship was required. I'm not aware about other streams wherein internship is required. As on today, CHM college must be providing some or the other kind of internship for streams like BMS, MMS etc.
Placement Experience
In case of my stream, no placement and job opportunities were provided to the students. As on today, I am not aware of the practices followed. I believe to beat the competition, CHM must be providing some temporary on-the-job training opportunities to help nurture students' mindset.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not avail any scholarship or loan facility. I'm not aware of any such facility too.
Campus Life
The campus life was just fine. I never used to participate in extracurricular activities and so, I cannot comment .
Hostel Facilities
No hostel was required for me. I used to reach my home in 10-15 minutes walking. The food quality in college cafeteria was just fine.
Alumni/Alumna
I never found the need to interact with senior students. My professors were the immense source of knowledge for me.
Exam Structure
Exam structure in Commerce stream was completely normal. No online exams but; only offline. Maximum marks used to be 100, 50 and 20. Our professors used to inform about the change in structure well in advance. We used to feel relaxed then. Most importantly; the exam structure never used to change quite often.
Faculty
My favorite subjects were Accounts, Secretarial Practice (SP) and Organization of Commerce (OC). Right from FYJC I was very much interested in learning practical account writing. My professors were chartered accountants. They always recognized and appreciated my interest in the subject. They also helped me understand the practicality of the subject.
