GITA Autonomous College - Best among private engineering colleges in Odisha

My admission was done through OJEE counseling on the basis of JEE mains marks. I checked the cutoff of best engineering colleges in Odisha on the Collegedunia website and found my JEE mains CRL rank of 138000 was enough to get me into the CSE branch of GITA Autonomous college. OJEE counsellings are held every year after the jee mains result declaration for JEE mains candidates. I am from state outside Odisha and as I got this college is the seat allotment I reported to the college within the due date with all the required documents and paid the seat acceptance fees of OJEE counseling. Once your admission process is complete if you opt for a hostel on the college campus you have to pay you're first sem fee with in the time period given by the college. The admission process is simple and if you face any problems you can contact the admission cell of GITA from the college website and they will surely respond.

I was interested in computer and technology from the very beginning and the CSE department of GITA has been one of the best branches in all private engineering colleges in Odisha. The student-faculty ratio is about 20:1. All faculties and HODs are well qualified to hold Ph.D. and doctor's degrees. They are very helpful and responsive to every query within or outside the class. Semester exams are held every six months generally but due to this covid situation this year the term exams were held every four months to cope with the second year. Exams are not so hard if you solve all the assignments only you can score above 95 %.

Internships are provided by various tech companies which start from 3rd year and students also get a stipend and certificate. During on-campus or off-campus placements, these internship certificates play an important role in getting selected.

Students in the 6th semester onwards become eligible for placements. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Byjus, and other tech recruiters come for on-campus placement drives and 85-90 percent of students get placed. The highest package provided is from byjus of 11 lakhs and the average package lies between 4.35 -4. 50 lacs. Students can opt for higher studies within a college like MTech MCA or MBA. Or go for off-campus drives.

In terms of course fees. The fees in GITA are slightly lower than its close competitors like GEC and NIST. So it's affordable for most students. Apart from the college keeps informing the students about every scholarship so the eligible students can apply and get the benefits. State government scholarships, national scholarships, private companies scholarships, and scholarships for Odisha state residents are some major scholarships provided by the college for eligible students. Job offers start from the 3rd year and companies hire students for internships with stipends.

The annual fest is organized after the arrival of first-year students every year and it's a 1 week-long celebration which includes dance, music, debates, speech, etc competitions are held and it's full of joy and enjoyment. Techfests are also held every month by various dept. And students from different colleges also come. It has a separate building for the library which is 3-storeyed and full of books and journals which are easily available to the students. Classrooms are equipped with 2 central ACs and properly ventilated and lit. Sports events like inter-branch Or inter-year volleyball, cricket, football, kabaddi, badminton, etc are conducted regularly. Various clubs like cyber security, ethical hacking, speakeasy, and run co-curricular activities for students.

Rooms available are two-seater and four-seater for first-year students. Rooms are spacious enough with a number of beds, tables, and chairs as per the students living in the room. Two-seater rooms have an attached bathroom in the room(which I opted for) and the hostel with four-seater rooms have common bathrooms and toilets for each floor. Hostels are allotted during the admission process as asked by you and the availability of rooms. Rooms at rent and PGs are also available within a kilometer from the college.
