Remarks
HSC marks were accepted and the cut-off for students from Uttarakhand was 55%. For outsiders, it was 60%. The admission process was easier than what we find in school these days. So, I was happy with the process as it all finished within two days.
Course Curriculum Overview
In each semester we have 5-6 professors so the student-faculty ratio is 1:20. The faculties even though freshers are great at teaching. They have been hired purely on merit and will have to congratulate the authorities for hiring some of the best faculties.
Placement Experience
Well, I am still in the first year, so don't have much idea about the placements. The placements are there but for our course, it's not more than 40%. BSc students anyways hardly have any placements even if they study at top colleges. So, placements are average and my plan is to MSc or MBA after completion of my BSc.
Fees and Financial Aid
For those who have scored over 80 percent in HSC, the students are awarded scholarships from 10% to 50%. Even Army personnel kids get certain discounts. The fees are a little high so the deserving students getting scholarships is a commendable job done by the university.
Campus Life
Classrooms have a nice set of benches and fans. The weather in Dehradun is cool, so don't mind even if the classes didn't have access. There are dance clubs, food clubs, and maths clubs among many other societies that stay active throughout the year. The annual fest is combined with GEU and GEHU and the fest name is GRAFT.
