Remarks
I applied in PGDAV evening and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening. But I wanted to attend the morning shift. And also other colleges I wanted to get into had very high cut-offs. I also secured a seat in Commerce College of the University of Rajasthan but preferred Delhi over Jaipur. In 2019, the Admission criteria were completely merit-based (12th). The admission process was quite a time-taking as there was a long line at the window, but the student union did good work to manage the crowd.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am from a Commerce background and there aren't many options available. I didn't want to get into Law and BBA has a narrow scope. So I opted for B.com (p). I would have taken B.com(Hons) but DU eligibility criteria say that you must have maths in your 12th for that. Faculties are good and supportive.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is approximately 15000/- per year. And if you are not from Delhi you will have to spend around 10000/- per month on accommodation and food. College provides financial assistance under many schemes, like in COVID it provided 50% wavier to those who required it.
Campus Life
The campus itself is quite good. But because of COVID, we didn't get to see the annual fest even once. But society fests are quite good. The classrooms are in fine condition. The library is well equipped. The reading room is awesome. There are many societies run by students like Entrepreneurship Cell, Insignia, Aakrosh, Jharokha, Comblaze, etc.
