The admission process was very smooth. Eligibility: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or Joint Entrance Examination Mains. Simple 3 rounds of counseling after WBJEE, no application fee. Some departments like CSE, IT, and ECE may have moderately high cutoffs. others have relatively low cutoffs
Course Curriculum Overview
I am from the Mechanical Engg department, and the course curriculum adheres strictly to the MAKAUT and AICTE curricula. Faculty members are very helpful, they give extra hours to students if necessary.
Internships Opportunities
Most companies provide internships to students before offering letters during the final semester. Many companies hire for internships like Amazon, Cognizant a lot more. The student also gets internships after recommendations from professors.
Placement Experience
Students sit from the end of 3rd year, numerous companies hire from NSEC, 588 offers were made in 2022, companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Cognizant, TCS visit. Some students crack government exams or go for higher studies like MS and MBA from abroad.
Fees and Financial Aid
College fees are affordable even though it is a private college, Fees range from 42000 to 50000 per semester. Scholarships are available for students with weak financial backgrounds or if they have reservations or disabilities. The average placement package is 5 to 6 LPA, but it may reach as high as 32lpa
Campus Life
It's a positive place and the students are friendly and helpful. There are a lot of extracurricular activities. Events for sports, and cultural activities. And each department has its tech fests, alumni meet celebration.
