Admission is based on the result of the entrance exam. The entrance exams constitute only chemistry questions for the admission of M.Sc Chemistry/Applied chemistry. Faculty members are very experienced and they have a deep knowledge of their subjects. They deliver the lectures very properly and cover the syllabus efficiently. Term exams start and get over on time and questions asked are from the syllabus and lectures only. If you have attended the lectures properly you would pass the exams comfortably.

For different departments the process and package for campus placements are different. On average the interested students get placed with a satisfactory package as freshers. Various companies approach and provide placements.

For the course of M.Sc Chemistry, the annual fee is somewhat about Rs 48000. For the odd semesters, fees are about 34000 and for the even semesters, it is about Rs 14000. Fees hike is somewhat about 1000-2000 per year depending on the improvements in the labs and classrooms.

Along with the subject knowledge, you would learn a lot of things on campus. The campus organizes a Mehfil program every Wednesday where you may participate in dance, songs, speech, shayri, or anything of your choice. Along with this departments on their level organize a lot of intradepartmental competitions. Interdepartmental competitions are also organized for sports, culture, and art. Social media is quite active for the university and you may follow various pages for updates, memes, and photography.

Newly formed hostels are quite large and accommodate 3 students per room while the older hostels have smaller rooms that accommodate 2 students per room. Each resident is provided with a bed, chair, and table. For every hostel, there is a separate mess where you are provided with 3 meals a day. Food quality is average but if you find it poor you may complain in the meetings. You are charged Rs 32 for every diet and at the start of every month, you would have to clear your mess bills.
