Remarks
I got admission to SLC in 2019 by merit based entrance system.At that time I got admission to B.Sc( Physical Science with Computer Science) course in it in 2nd cutoff as the 2nd cutoff for that goes to 89.6 Perce ntage for my category(ur) nd for others it is down by 2-5 percent.To take admission in that course our best three subject marks are included and for me the best three are physics, maths and computer science as for best three math is compulsory.The admission process is so hectic that everyone was in rush and arranging documents, for me it took complete 6 hours and in this process seniors really helped me a lot and finally I became SLCian.But now the admission process is completely changed for 2022 as entrance (cuet) is implemented.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this bsc(phy. sci. with cs) course because I love coding and bsc(cs) honours is not available in the college so i choose the program.There are 3 faculties available to teach cs subjects and all of them are good not too good but fine.The teaching method is average.I have semester system so our semester exam took place in every 6 months.But after every mid semester break we have internals.The internals are not too tough but semester exams are little bit tough and toughest one's for final year in my case.
Internships Opportunities
For internship lots of companies came to SLC butonly for marketing,business and customer associates and they are not much better I think all of them are majorly startups. So, intership opportunities are average.
Placement Experience
In terms of placement the college is not good barely some companies visit the campus and mostly of them are marketing students.For science students the placement is approximately nil.In 6th semester placements started.Hardly 10-12 companies visit the campus and much of them are for only internships.So, overall placement in slc is like very rare.If barely anyone gets placed then his package will be 2 lakh to 2.5 lakh per annum.I also get placed but of CTC 1.8 lakh but I didn't join it.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees was average for our course not too low not too high compare to other du colleges.In my course it is 1st year-16720 rs,2nd year-16920 rs,3rd year-16920 rs .So, there is increament of only rs 200 in 2 nd year and in 3rd year no increment.The college and university also provides several scholarships and for sports quota students the fees is also very less like 2-3 thousand only.
Campus Life
In cultural activities the clg is good.It has lots of societies like qasida(poetry society) and many clubs like eco club.But for science stream like our course there is not even a single society or club they are mostly for commerce and arts students.In terms of sport our clg is much way ahead than other du colleges especially for SLC hockey team and clg also includes nss,ncc.
