Remarks
Basically, the admission is conducted by Delhi University, and every year the cut-off changes according to the results of class 12th students. But the basic eligibility criteria is to get a minimum of 80% marks in the top 4 subjects including Mathematics and English. You will get the application forms on the official website of Delhi University which are available around the month of March - April. There is no reservation for general category students. Reservation is only for minorities like SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was preparing for the engineering entrance exam but unfortunately, I didn't get any government engineering college during the counseling. That's why to save the whole year I took admitted to JDMC. And one more reason was that JDMC is a part of DU and everyone knows the importance of a degree from DU. The faculty-student ratio is very good it's just like 1:10, any student can contact the teacher at any time with their doubts. And teachers also give attention to each and every student in the class. Most of the teachers have done their Ph.D. or Masters in their respective subjects. And mostly teachers are more than 10 years experienced. The teaching method is quite nice because the teachers give examples related to real life to solve the tough questions.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of the study is pretty much affordable around 14K-14.5K per year with examination fees every semester according to the subjects you have. College doesn't offer much opportunity for maths honors students, No Placements are given to the students. There are some scholarships to provide financial assistance to the students of EWS and minority categories. And there are some scholarships that are provided by the Delhi government to support students from poor backgrounds.
Campus Life
There are different types of fests in our college which generally occurs in the month of February and March. There are different types of Dance, Musical, Drama, and studies-related societies like - Nritya, Enactus, Anubhuti, Nupur, Sarang - The Indian Music Society, Gandhi Study Circle, and many more. There are different types of books on different subjects and authors available in the college Library. The Library is fully air-conditioned. There is NCC also in our College. And our college also gives opportunities to the students in different sports like Football, Hockey and Basketball. Classrooms are not air-conditioned only fans are there. There is only one smart board in our department. Most of the rooms have black or whiteboards. There is only one website of our college which is jdmc.du.ac.in which is run by the college itself.
