There are some portions where improvements are needed such as student intake. The student intake is increasing every year and this is leading to chaos in the campus. The cutoffs should be a little more high so as to reduce the student intake as well as easier to organize. otherwise, the admission process was okay

Teachers and faculty are okayish to good teachers are really interested in teaching with the slides and presentations. they make us learn from the notes and always take up our doubts very well. they explain things two to three times. they are also very humble.

Placements and internships start from the 5th semester till the 8th semester. Cisco, JP Morgan, DE shaw, American express, axis bank, Whirpool, iON, Mahindra, and other big companies visit the college and offer good packages to students. The highest being 45lakhs and the average being 9lakh-10lakh including all branches. Both tech and non-tech visit college every year. Stipends provided by companies ranges till 50k.

The fees are quite high if including all expenses such as hostel, mess, semester fees and daily expenses it can go up to 400000-500000. But it also offers scholarships to students which can be applied for, after clearing some formalities as per college policies we can get scholarships such as tuition fees, etc. But on the brighter side college also offers jobs and placements with good packages though the fees is high but will also provide a return of investment on the fees.

The college organizes fest on regular basis the annual fest being Saturnalia and besides that having Thapar foodfest where all big brands such as keventers, pizza hut participate in the event. Thapar has one the best libraries one could find with a great infrastructure and the library contains books and journals on every topic. Sports are good, it has one of the best cricket grounds in north India, and also a synthetic running track. 8 tennis courts, basketball court, indoor-outdoor badminton etc.

Thapar has one the best hostels of the country though hostel fees is quite high but it provides great facilities such as air conditioning, hot water showers, hand dryers, well furnished study table, comfortable chairs, beds and almirahs. Mess food is not too good or not too bad but is eatable, scope of improvements are there. Hostels are allocated based on cgpa one got in previous semester.
