Remarks
To get admission in Techno, the students need to clear the WBJEE exam, and departments will be allotted according to the ranks. The application forms are available on the official website Due to pandemics there has been a shift in dates for conducting the exam, usually, it takes place in the month of May. The forms are available for a nominal fee of Rs 500 and it's RS 400 for reserved categories. There is a reservation for the students of West Bengal. The college comes under MAKAUT and the guidelines are set according to them.
Course Curriculum Overview
EIE is a semi-industrial branch. After the course, students get chances in industries as well as in IT companies. This attracted me as a student since I saw opportunities lying ahead. We have 60 students in our departments. The faculty is one of the best. Almost all the faculty of the college is of PhD level with good industrial exposure. The faculty teaching methods are a blend of traditional and modern techniques which helps us to understand all the concepts in a simple manner. Continuous Assessment exams are taken every month to check the student's progress and give them scope to figure out their difficulties.
Fees and Financial Aid
The over-all fees for 4 years if 4.84 lacs. The college offers scholarships on a merit basis and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. The college provides good returns on investment as per the fees via its amazing placement.TFw (tuition fees waiver) is provided for students from West Bengal who's guardian's income per annum is less than 2.5lpa. Also Student loan is provided under the government's scheme
Campus Life
The Infrastructure of the buildings in the college is very well designed and maintained The library is good enough and books are issued to students as and when they ask for them. Sports are also a major part of the daily life of the student which helps in their co-curricular development, namely football and cricket. Techno Main conducts the second largest tech fest in eastern India, named Edge which is managed by the tech club of the college GEEKONIX. Different clubs for cultural, literary, sports, social works etc are run by student bodies and have shown great success in their respective fields. The college classrooms are very well designed and some classroom is fitted with AC and digital boards are installed.
