Remarks

Very good college. As this is a government college it is a bit tough to get into.

Entrance Preview

I took Kerala Entrance chose sree chithra thirunal college because it was ranked in top 100 engineering universities across India.

Course Curriculum Overview

Both Good. The course curriculum is same across all engineering colleges coming across Kerala university.

Internships Opportunities

No internship. We did an independent project that was awarded in many national level college festivals. The faculty was really helpful and supportive for completing the project.

Placement Experience

Very Good. In my final year there was 100% placement and many reputed companies like Oracle,Microsoft etc visited our campus and absorbed talented students.

Each branch had independent tech festivals. This helped the students to do more activities focusing the particular stream. There were altogether four tech fests in a calendar year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For merit seats the fee is really cheap as it amount to only around 4200 per year. For non merit seats the fee is around 20000 per year. There are even NRI quotas available at a higher rate.

No. As I got admitted under merit seat I didn't take any educational loan. The merit fees was only around 4200 per year.

Campus Life

This is shared across all colleges coming under kerala university. There are 2 internal examinations and a university level exam for each semester.

The faculty is well educated and most of them hold doctorates in various subjects that are though there.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
