Remarks

Admission was done on the basis jee main in the year I was in. The cut-off for my category was 74%. So there is a small admission process. Where we should provide proper paperwork and also verification details upon entering the hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview

All professors are mostly PhD and MTech. They are all knowledgeable. And most of the professors teach quite passionately. I quite enjoyed the maths class. Not all professors are nice. During the first year, there are many professors which don't take classes seriously even in later years. So watch out and study on your own

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is dependent upon the number of subjects per semester. The average fee are around 25000 to 35000 per semester. Opportunity for scholarship starts from the first sem in the beginning. Idk bout financial assistance and campus jobs

Campus Life

The infrastructure is decent but not so good for sports activities. Good classrooms. Fully ventilated. As per sports, cricket is played. But on a small scale since no ground is there. The library has all the books u require but in small quantity. So beware and be fast

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
