Remarks

There are so many reservation benefits in this college. You can get admission in this college by JEE mains, HPCET test and 12 marks percentage. But due to covid, I get admission by my jee mains percentage.

Course Curriculum Overview

Because I want to be Innovative in my field. So I choose this branch. The faculty in this college is very good. Their way of teaching is something different from others. All the faculties are NIT or IIT pass out.

Internships Opportunities

The companies like Texas instruments, Microchips, micro tex are offering their service. There is a project for every branch in the last semester. The internships consist of min 12000 per month. The project must be unique and good.

Placement Experience

You can get placed in the 7th semester. But you have to make your CGPA above 65%. For that, you have to know all your basics. My plans are to get placed in the 7th semester or if I can't then I start preparation for the GATE.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are so many scholarship schemes for the students, especially for the students whose parents have a low-income sources. There are so many scholarships for students from out of Himachal Pradesh. There are 28000 fees every semester.

Campus Life

There are four societies in this college that are CE, EE, ME and ECE societies. There is a fest in every society every month. There are also many clubs in our college that are literary, sports many more.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are available for only 1st-year students. The rent of room is around 900 and overall 5000. There is a chair, a bed, an almirah and a table for every student in the room. The food of the hostel is also very good.

Hostel Fee: INR 28000 per year

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
