Review of GMR

The admission process was through AP eamcet. The admission process is conducted by the ap government. The eligibility for the course is based on the rank you got in ap eamcet. And if you have a reservation then you have more chances to get the desired branch. And there are management quota seats also there. which are also filled through the AP government. they fill these seats based on jee rank or + 2 scores.

I have chosen my course as Information Technology. As we all know that nowadays there is a lot of growth in It sector. And I am also interested in coding. And want to become a software engineer in the future. so that's why I choose this course. In the department of information technology, there are 140 students. And the faculty for its department is 22 members. The maximum number of faculty members completed their MTech and did PhDs.And the teaching of the faculty was also nice. They explain the topics in a detailed way for the students to understand in a better way. Due to covid 19 in Ist year each sem consists of 4months. But it is used to be 5 months. The exams are not much difficult if you follow the lecturer's instructions. Exams consist of Mid-1, Mid-2, Open book exams, and Semester exams. Mid 1, and Mid 2 consist of 40marks. They reduce them into 20 marks. In the two they take best as 80% and least as 20%.(mid 1 +mid 2 average to 20) And open book exam consists of 30 which was sacle down to 10 marks. I didn't know that much about the internship. Also, I didn't have any internship experience. But the students will do their internships from the 5th sem onwards. And college will help the students to do the internships. And also there are major projects and minor projects in the 4th year of BTech.

After 6th sem onwards students become eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are Amazon,cognizant,Infosys,Wipro,virutsa,Tata,Tech Mahindra,cerium,global logic,Hexaware,Bosch,Faurecia,etc. A total of 80 + companies visited in 2022. In 2022 highest package was 34.3 lakhs as a system development engineer in Average package is 4.48 lakhs per annum. The percentage of placements is 95% in 2022. My plan is to become a software engineer.

The fees for students joined through AP eamcet 66000 The fees for students joined through the management quota are based on their respective groups. Building fee:12900 The bus fee will be around 20000 per year. and it will change based on distance. Hostel fee:94000 per year You should have to pay 94000 at the time of the joining. In hostel per room 2 members. If you joined through AP eamcet and are eligible for jvd then government only pay all the fee. If you are not eligible for jvd then you only have to pay. And college will provide merit scholarships for the students who got 9.0 or above in sem exams will get 10000 rupees during the Annual day. The condition is the student must have 90% attendance. Now as I was a first-year student I didn't get any job.

The annual day was conducted in the month of April. and the Technovate event was also conducted in the month of April as events like stange coding, Ai hackathon, circuit probe, bridge building, shark tank, etc were conducted. and also step one was also the fest held for 5 days every year. All the required books and journals are available in the library. apart from studies story books, knowledge books are also available. Sports and extra circular activities are regularly done activities. every day students practice the sports like football, volleyball, kabaddi,kho-kho, basketball, badminton, etc., and monthly circular activities are also held like singing, essay writing, dance, video making, presentation, drawing, etc. Student clubs are Nss club,sports club,photography club,literary club etc.There is an insta group which was run by students and do some activities every month. There are also some social clubs in which we can join and participate in the events.
