Students from any background are it Arts, Science or Commerce are eligible for admission in B.A(Economics) The application forms are available on the website of Fergusson College. Application forms are not out as of now but you can check general instructions from the link given above. It will start immediately after the CBSE board results. I did not have a reservation. The admission process is smooth enough in Fergusson and everything is available only on the authentic site of Fergusson college mentioned above. The application fees are as minimum as 100/-
Course Curriculum Overview
As a UPSC aspirant, I chose Fergusson college for its known quality Faculty. I wanted to make my basic knowledge very strong. That was my biggest reason for choosing this college. Till last year we studied all subjects and would get our specialisations in the second year. specialisations in the first year itself and that's great. Personally talking about the economics faculty in the college, I found it really good.. Overall knowledge of the subject is imparted. The syllabus does not limit to books. Many references are taken into consideration. Talking about the exam pattern. As the semester starts you'll get assignments that month. Then a 25-mark MCQ test and then the end semester. Honestly passing is not very difficult. And the assignments are really interesting.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for Grant aid students is 6,500/- while for self-financed students it is 12,500/-(Maharashtra Students) For Non-Maharashtra Students, Grant in aid-8, 500 Self finance-16, 500 Scholarships are provided for reserved categories. The college fees are easily affordable.
Campus Life
So, talking about fests in Fergusson only excited me, leave alone it happening. We have a week-long cultural fest Spandan and Sports fest Josh and Individual departmental fests conducted annually in December. NSS unit in Fergusson is really outstanding is what I have witnessed is a part of it. It organizes Friendship Camp, Winter Camp, University Camp and National integrity tour. You can check Fergusson college pages on Instagram. This college's infrastructure is commendable spread over 70 acres with 3 different canteens operating inside the campus. Fc's social life hits a different level.
