College is awesome

The admission process was not so difficult. There was 2 mode of admission, one was an entrance test and the other was a merit basis. I got admission on a merit basis through 12th marks. For general category students, the cutoff was 96% and for my course ( BSc (Hons) Computer Science) the fee was Rs 22,500.

I chose Computer Science because I was passionate about technology and I really wanted to learn about computers. Faculties: The student ratio is very good. Faculties are really outstanding and almost everyone has good teaching experience however some teachers are not so good as their way of teaching is really very poor. The teaching method is good and has the support of technology. Exams are held at the semester end and it is really not very difficult to pass the exam but to get a top rank is very difficult.

To be honest internship opportunity in our college is very bad. A student has to get an internship on his own. But still, there are some opportunities. The role of a graphic designer or jr technical assistant is provided for some companies like Bharat petroleum and that is also an online internship. Mostly all internships are unpaid.

Placement at our college is average. Students are eligible for placements after the 5th semester. Many reputed companies visit our college like TCS and Accenture but they do not offer a high package. 50% of students applied for placements last year and more than 85% got jobs with an average package of 3 lakh. The highest package was just above the average package. BCom students get the highest package compared to other branches.

Fees are affordable and the highest fees of our college are for the CS branch which is Rs 22,500 for the general category. The fees are lower for lower categories. But for economically weaker students there is a variety of scholarship programs. I did not take any scholarship or financial assistance.

Campus life is not so good. Many fests are conducted in our college eg - Annual fest, Cultural fest, Fresher's party and many more. Our library is very rich that consists of every book that a student need from a course book to a novel everything is available. The classroom is very big but no air conditioner is there. Students can play different games like cricket and football on the college ground. There are a lot of clubs and societies for students eg - NSS, Eco Club, Virtual Lab, Entrepreneurship cell and a lot more.
