Remarks
I got admission to my college by giving the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam. The basic eligibility of this course is that the person must have taken science either pure or computer science. The application form for the exam is available on wbjee's official website. The application fees are 500 for general category students and 400 for sc/st/obc. The admission process is quite easy-going and every step is clear.
Course Curriculum Overview
Electrical has always been my favourite stream and also besides placement I'll also have the advantage of taking exams like SSS JE, GATE, etc. The faculty-student ratio is quite good as we can state it as near 4:45. The faculty members are good and are quite friendly and most of the teachers have their own unique teaching methods but overall it is good enough. In this course curriculum, each semester includes 4 CA exams and 2 PCA exams at the end of which the Sem exam happens. Though the number of exams is not so low they are not tough if you are attentive enough.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible by the end of the 6th sem and the start of the 7th sem. Companies like Deloitte, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, Bluestar, Pinnacle, Wipro, etc. No. of offers are good as almost more than 90% of student gets placed. The highest package ranges up to 9 lacs whereas the average is 4.5 lacs. After getting the degree I want to get placed in an eminent IT company.
Fees and Financial Aid
At the time of admission apart from the semester fees, we have to provide an amount of almost 4500 for uniforms apart from that at the beginning of each sem we have to pay an exam fee of 1200 rupees. Also, there are scholarship programs like the Swami Vivekananda scholarship program and other Government provided facilities like Student Credit Card etc.
Campus Life
Life on campus is quite fun. There are technical, NSS, Entrepreneurship, Literary and cultural clubs which have their fests in the even sems the biggest of which is Geekonix's EDGE the 2nd largest tech fest in Eastern India. Apart from these, there are departmental fests too. The library is also good as you can always find any kind of course-related books when you want. The classrooms are spacious and apart from normal classes, there are digital classes too. Our college is also enriched in means of extracurricular activities and social clubs, start-ups, etc.
