Remarks
College management was good. They listen to students problems and hold various Student Administration meetings. Also, there was an effective Grievance redressal system.
Entrance Preview
LEET - Lateral entry engineering Test (Haryana) Rank - 103 I choose YMCA because 1. it is the best Govt. college for engineering in Haryana. 2. It is location. NCR 3. Good placement stats. I too got selected for Adobe Systems from campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was average. Actually, the syllabus war not updated from a long time. In bachelor's course, there was almost zero focus on research. Also, you don't have the option to select from the list of elective subjects. Department itself decides what subject needs to be taught and that become compulsory for students.

Fees and Financial Aid
No, I had not availed any of such facility and not remember any of the scholarships. Actually, most of the scholarship were for Reserved Category students and I belongs to General category.
Campus Life
Campus life was very good, I still miss my college days. Gender ratio - 2:5 (female:male) Diversity - Not much, most of the students belongs to Haryana state and some from Punjab, Delhi, and J&k Extracurricular - Various workshops and seminars. Labs - Good and Air conditioned labs. Sports - Corruption in the sports department. No good sports coach. Competitions such as robotics, debates etc. - Organised mostly during College Fest.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel - 3/5 Mess Food - 3/5 Hostel rooms were very small and are only on sharing basis - 3 person per room. Total Hostel charges were around 3500 including everything. Hostel bathrooms and toilets were not cleaned and hygienic. Hostel seats are limited, but there were good PG facilities costing from 4500 - 8000 per person.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network - MOB(Meet old buddies). MOB holds various events across Delhi NCR where Alumni from even 1970's batch comes and share their experience and we get a chance to enhance our professional network.
Exam Structure
It was very hectic during exam days. We had 2 sessional exams per semester and semester end exam. Sessional Exams - 2 per day, completed in 3 days End Semester - 1 per day, completed in 6 days Labs - Weekly 4 labs of 3 hours each and were chilled out.

The entire process is online and is managed by HSBTE (Haryana State Board of Technical Education) Admission Process was - 1. Online Entrance Test - notification released in April 2011 and exam was conducted in June 2011. 2. Online counseling - after LEET result online counseling starts in June 2011 itself and result declared in July 2011. There were 3 counselings but I got selected in the First. 3. Physical reporting in the institution along with Demand Draft and supporting documents - In July 2011.
Faculty
The faculty was good and experienced, having good theoretical knowledge but only some of them have good practical knowledge. Most of the faculty members were Master degree holder and under Ph.D. Also, all the faculty members are permanent and recruited through a transparent and tough process.
