Remarks

The application process is very simple. One needs to visit the website of Amity University and select the campus or directly go to the website of desired campus. Then apply for the course one is interested in. For admission in BSc in Clinical psychology no entrance was required for me. After the application the counselor from the university contacts and helps with further process. The payment process is also very simple. One may directly pay via net banking where as DD can be used in the name of Amity University Mumbai (as per the instructions- read carefully). The required documents are marksheets of 10th and 12th standard. Scholarship is also available on the basis of obtained marks. The campus is very vast and beautiful. Greenery and landscape are soothing. The campus has multiple eating arenas, one can try them all and choose to eat wherever. The faculty of the enrolled courses were fine. The quantity of assignments might be overwhelming but the provided course structure is great.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose BSc in Clinical Psychology because human mind and behavior always facinated me. The faculties at the campus were nice and supportive at times. The number of subjects reduced over the years. The three year course was divided in 6 semesters. There were electives also. Besides Psychology related subjects there was extra credit subjects such as minor tract which had multiple options to choose from such as photography, business management, social work etc. There was also facility of foreign language. There were three different languages out of which one was to be chosen- French, Spanish and German. There was also Communication skills to enhance one's presentation and communication skills in future. There used to be mid terms, assignments and end terms exams in every semester. 35% was passing and there was relative grading system. The mid terms were 15 marks, 15 marks for assignments and 70 marks for end term exams.

Internships Opportunities

3

At the end of 1st year and 2nd year there is mandatory internship program for completion of degree. One can seek help from the department for internships and apply for internships by themselves. It is minimum 45 days requirement for which a diary of day-to-day activities shall be maintained. Report of minimum 6000 words shall be written and Viva with presentation is also conducted.

Placement Experience

2

After second year the students become eligible for placements and require to fill forms to choose if the student wants campus placement or not. After my completion of degree I shall be applying for Masters degree. One can proceed forward with MSc in Clinical Psychology Or MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Over all fee for 3 years was 2.5 lacs. The division of fees was semester wise and every year the fees increased by 5%. The scholarship program for 1st year is there on the basis of one's 10th and 12th marks. Fee submission is available as one time payment via net banking Or Demand Draft. There is also EMI payment method. There is CRC branch that takes care of placement By the end of second year there are several forms and sheets circulated for application of placement.

Campus Life

4

The campus is huge and beautiful. The infrastructure is amazing and still under construction. There is facility of lift in campus and hostel. There are basketball court, football ground and volleyball court. People can play badminton also. There are several groups or clubs formed by students such as literature club, drama club, film club, dance club etc. At the end of every year (since semester starts in August so end of year means February) annual event called Aminova is conducted in which all these clubs present different events. There are also intercollege sports competition and traditional days.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility is divided as AC and Non-AC. AC rooms cost 130000 and non-Ac rooms cost 70000. There are seperate hostels for boys and girls. Lift service is available. Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
