Don't miss this college if you are not getting in NIT or IIIT

Admission process was pretty smooth. This college gives admission on the basis of jee mains. Admission can be taken by vising hstes website. Cutoff for Computer Engineering in general category closes on approx 35k in physical counselling. The only improvement I want is the notification of admission started. You will not know when hstes starts counselling and ends it. It should be properly advertised on official YouTube and Instagram account. Reservation are same as all other colleges. Only thing here is that students from Jammu and Kashmir are taking admission without giving jee through pmsss.

I choose this course because I have a keen interest in computer engineering and also placement in this college is very good. Faculties:Student ratio is not much less and not much greater. Most of the female teachers are not good looking except one or two. Now the harsh truth no one will tell, Faculties do have knowledge but due to lack of their efforts to teach, they are not able to teach much effectively. A semester is to consist of 6 months but here in first semester we were given only 3.5 months and they say it is due to late admission due to corona. But it is not true they did not conduct offline classes because of their lack of management.

Only those students get to give placement drive who has overall cgpa above 8.0. So to get placement you have to study. And don't think that you are topper in jee so you will get 8cgpa easily. Teachers try hard not to give good marks in practical and internals. Percentage placement for Computer Engineering and IT is approx 90% which is good.

Normally other government colleges have nearly neglibible fees but in this college the fees if approx 1lacs per year which is way too high for this college. Scholarship is given to only those students who have annual income of 1lacs or less, so very less student applies for scholarship.

College Life in any college is the most enjoyable and happiest moments in the whole life. Here we do enjoy a lot. In B.Tech very less girls take admission, and that too in our college most girls are not good looking. So we have to compromise a bit here The annual fest name of our college is CulmYmca but we have not seen annual fest in our college till now again they make excuse of corona here. Library of our college is the worst, it is so small in size and if you issue books at the start of semester then you will get otherwise if you go late then forget about books We have a sports club in our college and all the major sports are covered including Cricket, football, basketball,table tennis, badminton,kabaddi,etc. There are many clubs and cells you can join weather it is technical club or non technical club such as eklavya,Manan,geekforgeeks,nataraja,smarpan,ucc and many more.

I will say according to the charges they took for hostel it is very good but if we see money sidewise then hostel condition is very bad. In CV Raman hall, bathroom ceiling fell, tagore hall is about to fell. Now we are told that new hostel will be made and this building will be renovated. Meal are not good,not bad. For first few days they will give best quality meal but with time quality will decrease. They don't have much rooms for hostels so they say that nearby cities students will not get hostel only student who are from far will get hostel.
