YMCA college for Engineers

Admission to this college is done based on the rank secured in JEE mains for Btech courses as there are various other courses also. The application form is released on the HSTES website after the release of the Jee results. After filing the application form, there occur 2 rounds for admission and after that spot round takes place in the university itself. The admission process is completely smooth and transparent. Reservation benefits are availed for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and Haryana students.

I choose this course because I like to work with electrical components and also because I got this course in my admission process. student ratio is better compared to various other courses in the college. Faculty are highly qualified and friendly except for some. Some Faculty members are either doing PhD or Mtech from the same or different colleges. Exams are challenging and need good preparation. Sessionals are also taken before exams.

Students become eligible to sit in On-campus Hiring challenges by the companies from the 6th semester itself. Various big product-based companies come for hiring and generally offer roles in Software Engineering and Data Science. You should generally have a good grab over Data Structures and Algorithms. Projects are necessary and we have a single project every semester generally based on our interests and stream. Some companies even offer internships up to 50K stipend.

Placements of our college are better than any other college in Haryana. Companies start visiting and hiring interns from the 6th semester itself. Companies like Amazon, Samsung, and Media. net, Indiamart, etc visits colleges for hiring. Placement of Computer Engineering branch is almost 90% and Electrical is a bit less than that. The highest Package being offered in 2022 is 32LPA and the average is close to 7LPA. I am also preparing for Placements.

Fees and returns on Investment are best than any other college in Haryana. The fees of this college are close to 75k per year. There is some hike in the fees this year but that is too minimal. However, there are various scholarships and soft loans available for the backward classes or economically weaker sections provided by the college.

Life at the college is really fun. However, our first year was completely spent online but from the second year, everything has been made offline. Even the fest and small events are occasionally organized on the college campus. The library is a bit small in comparison to the amounts of books present but it contains books related to almost every subject. Sports are not the prime focus of this college but there are cricket, Football, Kabaddi, and various other teams which consistently do practices. There are various clubs and cells in the college. Our college contains both technical clubs and Non Technical clubs and being a part of one such club I learned a lot from these. Our clubs have also won various medals and awards at intra-college level competitions.
