Remarks

Overall College was good, faculty was good.. still we are in contact with some of our faculty ,they are always there to guide us.

Entrance Preview

I completed graduation degree from the College,so it required 12th % to be fulfilled the admission criteria of the college You can get admitted in college at around 90-94 % of marks in 12th exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

All the Syllabus was available on the website of Delhi University, as well the faculty of the college were very supportive and helped at every semester with sufficient material of the courses and readings also they referred the best writers for particular subjects..

Internships Opportunities

we didn't had any particular internship, but we were always free to apply for the companies nearby according to ones interest.

Placement Experience

4

There is a separate placement cell for all courses, we had great interaction with seniors(head of placement cell ) ,as the companies were KPMG, EY, Genpact, and some new companies hired our branch for analytics and financial jobs. the package would vary from 240k -300k p.a. Also Delhi University conducts a common placement procedures for all interested Delhi university students can apply online.

College Events

4

Very first year we had freshers party, then all three years includes the cultural programs the commerce society was Vanijya society , also our college participated in Antardhwani (its a cultural program on which is hled in north campus where all the colleges of DU participates) held by Delhi university and we stood 1st for continuous two years (2013-1014).

Fee Structure And Facilities

Free structure for the course is around 6k-8k every semester as it took only 30k-40k to get graduate from the college over all it was very feasible compared to any private college. also the college has some remission in the fee if they wanted to they can talk to the faculty also students has to less fee if the belonged to reservation. it might have really helped them.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are several scholarship exams.you get information about it on the university website. further i don't think one would require loan for such economical studies. further some of my friend used to go for part time jobs, like teaching, data entry jobs etc..

Campus Life

4

As Delhi is capital of the country and Delhi university is one of best in country so students are attracted here from all over the country and we gather together in same place from different states, cultures, races and views , over all sex ratio was equal in the college, there is also anti ragging laws in college, college is termed as smoke-free area.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college didn't provide any hostel or mess, but the location of the college is in Govindpuri, Kalkaji which has very affordable rooms available around 5k to 12k includes single room and 2bhk as well (also knows as student area) , as for me i resides with a roommate,it costs me 7k and for fooding we had a maid, who took 800 per person .

Alumni/Alumna

Yes,There is alumni meet held in college frequently year after year..they are very helpful the guidance as they share there experience. also some of time one of my friend had a start up he got some of funds from there. further it helped me to learn from there experiences and guidance helped me to move forward in right direction.

Exam Structure

We had semester exams,we had computer labs for to semester and further we had always assignments, presentations and in final year project works....over all classes were sometimes hectic and sometime chilled out,we always had of on Sundays and final semester included Saturday off as well.

Admission

There was offline application form which you can get from several colleges prescribed by Delhi university and further fill the form hand your name will be shortlisted for the admission in any particular college according to the preferences filled by you in the form ,and then you may visit the designated college. but it was the offline procedure in 2012, now it has been all online process and it has became quite easier to track your status of admission.

Faculty

4.5

as i mentioned above all were very helpful at any point of time, like not only with academics but also with the the career discussion they were supportive , and looking toward the qualifications we had most of the masters and some senior faculties with PhD/Mphil.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
