IIITN- A Growing Institute

For getting Admission to IIIT Nagpur, we have to appear for JEE Mains and a male student belonging to General Category without any Reservations needs to secure an All India CRL Rank approximately below 45k to get admission in E.C.E. Branch and below 32k to get admission in C.S.E. Branch. Application is done through JoSAA Counseling and all the details of the Application are available on the official Website of JoSAA Counseling. The benefits of Category Reservations can also be availed through the counseling procedure. In my opinion, the Counseling procedure should have a minimum of 7 Main Rounds instead of 6 rounds so that maximum seats can be covered and the number of empty seats can be reduced after the completion of all the rounds.

Electronics and Communication Engineering has a wider scope in the upcoming years. It also includes the Internet of Things, AI, and Machine Learning which have a much higher opportunity in the upcoming future. Faculty Student Ratio of IIITN is approx 1:30 as there are about 36 faculty members with 1200 students. Almost all the faculty members are Doctorates who completed their P.H.D. from the best colleges in India and even from IITs. All the curriculum is fixed and followed regularly by 2 sessional with a gap of 50 days each and End Semester Exam at the destined time after 5 months from the starting date of the Semester.

Many reputed companies provided Campus hired internships such as Goldman Sachs, TCS, and many other reputed companies provide direct campus Internships at IIITN. In the 3rd and 4th Years, companies provide a stipend at an average of 4 .2 LPA. In the 3rd Year, they are mostly Training+Work based whereas in the 4th Year they are Specialized Work-based Internships. Projects being like Software Development, Application Development or Applications of Data Management and Competitive Coding and Data Structure and Analysis.

Students can opt for their placements from the 7th Semester onwards if they can complete the minimum required courses before the 7th Semester. Otherwise, the rest of the students can opt for placements from the 8th Semester. In recent years, IIITN has had a consistently rising average package with a rate of +2.5 LPA every year. In the year 2021-22, it reached about +4 LPA. The trend of the highest package has remained at about 50-60 LPA. Top Recruiting companies include Amazon, TCS-Digital, Samsung, Infosys,1MG, Nutanix, Capgemini, Jio Digital Platforms, and a wide range of Digital based and Software based Companies.

In Recent Years the fees have remained constant without any hike. The fees are about Rs1,00,000 per Semester or Rs 2,00,000 per annum. State, as well as Central Scholarship Schemes, can be availed through the Institutes. Every Year more than 85% of the students are placed in a reputed company so it signifies that IIITN has comparatively better placement statistics in comparison with the local Universities.

Tantrafiesta, Annual College Gathering, and Abhivyakti are the Cultural Events organized by IIITs in India. Other than this many such small events and cultural workshops are organized in IIITN regularly. Plenty of books by Reputed Authors are available in the College Library. Classrooms are in the best possible condition with ACs, Projector Boards, Adapter Connections and Sockets, proper furniture and seats, and E-Learning Platforms. As the campus is in a developing stage so the sports complexes are not fully prepared but Indore sports events and Physical Education are still done to a huge extent on plain grounds and common sports rooms. There are almost 25-30 clubs in IIITN that are unofficially run by the students and hence promote extracurricular activities.
