Remarks

The college has a robotics club with over 150 active members creating bots ranging from simple wired bots to complex robotic arms . They have shown stellar performance in robotics events all across the country and have shown ingenuity and amazing innovativeness where ever they have performed.

Entrance Preview

I have taken WB-JEE exam and got a decent score. With my WB-JEE score i got a seat in electrical and electronics engineering based up on my counselling which is done by Faculty of the college.

Placement Experience

Very good. CIT and training sessions were good. Many companies visit and give offers. But top companies are once in blue moon to visit. Pay scales too are not that great. Average package may be around 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs. And few received 10 lpa too but they were so talented.

Campus Life

First of all there is no ragging.It is a good atmosphere to live study and grow up.Seniors help us in many ways and there won't be any connection between juniors and seniors as their blocks are different.No discrimination on grounds of age,religion,region, community,race etc.

The college has an excellent faculty pool with professors having rich experience as academics as well as industrial experience which equips then to be aware of the modern industrial practises and train the students accordingly.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
