Remarks

the admission process is done in two ways. there are seats for merit students and another way of admission is through management seats. for eligible for merit seats you should pass the entrance exam. the application dates will be told by the college beforehand

the college follows the Ktu syllabus and exams are conducted by ktu. the faculty are super good and very supportive. there are advisors for every 20 students. they support our academic as well as our nonacademic issues.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees are decided by the government, usually, there hasn't been a hike in fees. the fees come to around 1 lakh and the college provide provides many scholarships for the students including many government scholarships as well as private scholarships.

Campus Life

the college concentrates more on the academic side so the annual fest is not conducted every year as well as the tech fest. talking about the library it holds one of the most numbers of books in Kerela. well maintained library. classroom are also well maintained.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
